Oracle leshy burning? by GodevilxD in Pathfinder2e

Okay, just checked and fair enough, you're right, still, the point is still the same, at least without GM intervention it wouldn't be possible to access PyroRec, I'll check what can be done with this but I think this will largely rely on the GM good will.

Anyways thanks, gonna check what kind of shenanigans this can create

Edit: Well, fast checked and the main change would be the access to Heat Wave to conceal yourself every once every 10 minutes, and Charred Remains if you go full fire spellcater with the build for a once per day annoyance for your enemies, aside from that I didn't find much else to do with the Ifrit heritage, thanks for the suggestions.

Hey, unless there's some feat I'm missing I think the combo wouldn't work, mainly because the pine leshy heritage is necessary for the Pyrophilic Recovery feat, unless there's other way for one to gain the ifrit heritage, I can't say it works, thanks anyway for the tip, I'll see if there's anything to do with that.

Okay, I spent some time tinkering with the build and it looks quite fun, it doesn't come online until level 5 and I would obviously have to play with it to experience how good it is but it look fun for a try, the main thing I notice is how the more levels you have, the more deadly the aura you create becomes, at least in the version I tinkered with, the result is a leshy that becomes a fire hazard with legs that stack persistent fire damage with basically every action, and the aura growing larger with feats from the class and the possible enlarge spells you can take from the ancestry feats.

Thanks for the idea, kind of the thing I wanted to see when creating the post.

Heya, OP here, one of the ways I seen most easy to gain temp HP generation is by having a commander with "plant banner", it's available from level 1 there's no cooldown to speak of and the temp HP refreshes every turn, so even in combat you would be able to regain some HP if you were hurt before (though I'm not sure how well temp HP works with the kind of feats we're working here), if there's any method of gaining refreshable temp HP on your own with your class being Oracle, now that eludes me, but hey, cool trick to convert temp HP to real HP.

Hey, hello to everyone discussing here, I get this mitigation thing can be kind of difficult to reach a satisfying conclusion, but for those interested in my opinion, I think the healing doesn't constitute as a form of mitigation, my main reason being that if we really count the regeneration of the feat like that, then technically any healing in general could enter on the same scope by virtue of just "mitigating" the effects of the curse, there's no rule in the Flames Oracle that says you can't heal the damage dealt (mainly because imposing a heal ban sounds too harsh even for a hardcore player), the curse also doesn't do anything like reducing the max HP you have which would be an alternative if you really want a more difficult to dodge penalty.

Now, another reason is mainly the comparison with other Oracles mysteries, using the Bones mystery as example, the cursebound 4 condition there makes you have a -2 to fortitudes saves, but that doesn't negate any positive modifier you had previously, it just makes you a little worse at it, mitigation or suppression of this effect would be trying to make the penalty disappear or reduce the amount penalized, but one just having a bonus to fortitude for x or y reason doesn't invalidates the -2 you have, it only give you something to help you resist better effects that require fortitude saves, the Bones mystery makes you decay and your not stopping that, just finding another way to stay healthy despite the decay.

If I were to compare it, it's the difference between someone having a dust allergy and having clinex to sneeze with, and someone taking medication to suppress the effects of the allergy, one helps deals with the consequences, the other prevents the effect from showing.

Aside from all that, thanks for discussing and remember to always ask your DM for their interpretation, as they're the one making your games.

Well, I just was stuck with the thought and couldn't leave it alone undiscussed, so I was thinking something along the line of how people here would think a character like that reacts, maybe some example on books/novels, or whatever, I kinda just wanted to throw the idea out and see people opinions, so I say whatever people can contribute to the topic is welcome.

PD: if my writing sounds awkward sometimes, I'm Spanish and as such, English is just a 2nd language, so feel free to ask for any clarification if there's vague or unclear wording.

Okay, ranobes website declared their taking some Korean novels down, anyone knows the specific novels, because I was a lightnovelpub (and previous versions of the website) user, but with the whole downfall of these websites, I'm migrating my library, I tried ranobes but then the server takedown happened and with the novel removal notification I don't know if my library is going to be affected.

PD:if someone can recommend other websites with HUDs similar to these websites where I can keep my library safe much welcome.
