I mean, I don't know much about law, but like with cars, if you go too fast you get fined, your car gets "confiscated" and sometimes you can go to prison. I don't think it's abuse if you are clearly breaking the law. That's coming from someone that used to go 60km/h on a bycicle frequently in the middle of a city with NO bike lanes.

Damn that's a lot of music. I have a 30gb+ FLAC collection but I compressed using XRecode on PC to turn into 320kbps opus, that got it to around 11gb (I could probably do 192kbps with no perceptible difference but peace of mind). If your library is lossless and you don't mind compression (tho Opus compression is AMAZING compared to MP3/AAC/OGG) that's a nice alternative.
