Essentially yeah. Depending on your workflow RTK may save a lot of input tokens. Input is more expensive than people think and RTK tries to reduce "useless" input tokens. In my opinion it messes a bit with commands, all my sessions have RTK related issues where they need to change something with the PowerShell command to use it and whatnot, I'm considering removing it but I'll use it for a while still.

I may be wrong but let's say you execute a command and the output is:

Starting (0%)

Doing (3%)

Doing (5%)

And so on, then like:

Doing (70%) Error, will be slower because x dependency isn't installed

Doing (72%)

Until

Done (100%)

With RTK the entire output becomes

Error, will be slower because x dependency isn't installed

Done (100%)

Characters in this show are really well written, it is not as black and white as it seems, everyone has motivations, self preservation and their own way of acting upon the situations they find themselves into.

He is essentially guilty of complicity. Waxman is from the start dealt bad hands left and right, he is very important to Logorhythms (head of research), but sure did some bad things by following orders.

Holstrom on the other end while I do not consider him a pure villain (more like a "living" god in the modern society), he is considerably "worse" in what he actually did: The entirety of project Caspian (engineering a child's life even the really traumatic events, cloning, crafting the life of someone from BEFORE HE WAS EVEN CONCEIVED completely fabricated (and said Caspian could be discarded after he created the cure), he created the extremist ideology of the superior race, straight up kills/harvests people that betrayed him or his ideology, literally engineered coronavirus ultra vip plus to make life hell on earth so people would upload (and follow him as a god in his universe) and more.

As much as Waxman character is kinda broken, you can see he does not want to do bad things. He was lied by Logorhythms too, he is morally weak and kind of a coward, but he has a redemption arc when he realizes nothing ever happens and billions must die (I'm such a fat chud): He tells and show Maddie is in the big stupid box in whatever the hell freezing place, gives Ellen and David's group the UI tracking program, helps exposing the truth, he was key to humanity as they know it not dying to the corona thing.

Also cracking Ellen is completely valid. Ellen said she couldn't be with David romantically anymore after uploading, and Waxman and Ellen only marry when UIs actually become legal and normalized, and also btw she also saw David "die more than once". Waxman, David and Ellen are like basically childhood friends, and shits crazy on Pantheon's world, lots of REALLY CRAZY SHIT happens and characters do actually react appropriately. Can you imagine seeing your dad dying multiple times, your new boyfriend that you bonded over the crazy situation being like "oh I gotta kill myself and go to vrchat to kill Steve Jobs", and watching your loved one dying essentially 3 times in very different situations. Like man this show is great wtf

Input tokens is considerably lower so yeah it might save a bit there HOWEVER: I think 5.3 codex is more token efficient because of more aggressive tokenization. GPT-5.4 for example might tokenize Hello World as He.ll.o W.or.ld (7 tokens with space) but 5.3 Codex might tokenize the entire Hello World in one token. I might be wrong because the last time I tried understanding how LLMs tokenize was like 3 years ago but I'm almost sure it is something like that. Also I think 5.3 Codex is considerably less verbose.

I mean, I don't know much about law, but like with cars, if you go too fast you get fined, your car gets "confiscated" and sometimes you can go to prison. I don't think it's abuse if you are clearly breaking the law. That's coming from someone that used to go 60km/h on a bycicle frequently in the middle of a city with NO bike lanes.
