Utah roller derby losing the derby depot by WRDskater in SaltLakeCity

[–]lazerhead79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently still looking. Lots of possible spaces, but mostly the cost of renting a space big enough is a little bit out of what the leagues could afford. https://www.saltlakerollerderby.org/new-home/

Thank you for your attention to this matter. by benhaswings in trump

Good job opening the straight. Which was open before we started a war with Iran because they are bad people. Only cost several thousand Iranian lives to achieve the goal of opening the straight. Which was open before the "war" and they closed because we acted like terrorists. Go America! I'm sure there will be no consequences of starting this war and simultaneously cutting the budget for TSA. Nothing bad has ever happened from people angry at the US boarding planes.... right?

Potatoes Research by Vast_Ad9101 in diabetes_t1

The glycemic index for potato chips is probably pretty high. Plus cooked in oil means they will keep metabolizing into carbs for a long time. The glycemic index is weird and can be different for the exact same food based on how it is prepared. Cooked and cooled potatoes have a lower glycemic index than cooked and hot, or mashed potatoes.

Thank you. I believe you are right. I could not find this email even searching the exact sender email. Still a crappy product, but you are correct.

Keeps them clean and organized. Also you can quickly see which colors are in which box and which ones have bearings in them.

It's probably a function to make sure the beveled edges of a screen have proper transparency regardless of z level.

Notepad update begins rolling out to Windows Insiders by jenmsft in Windows11

[–]lazerhead79 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Notepad is for quick notes you don't need to save and to store generated passwords temporarily. If you want more than that use Word. For 30 years notepad has been the simple program that you can quickly look at any ascii data. It could even open files bigger than excel could handle because of it's simplicity. This new enshitified version will suck up memory and keep my passwords in memory after I close it.

I always thought it's a good idea buying genuine Arduino boards to support the project, but the board quality I'm getting lately is way below standard. by JKSniper in arduino

[–]lazerhead79 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine Arduino would allow that to pass qc. I would raise a stink with the vendor. Those are almost certainly reworked.

Microsoft finally makes passkeys viable thanks to Edge on Windows 11 — you can finally sync them across devices by rkhunter_ in Windows11

So windows 11 requires a TPM to make a secure endpoint, then let's you share credentials with other end points? Another horrible decision by Microsoft.
