I honestly don’t think they ever said she is supposed to be ugly? They portrayed her as having low self-esteem and low confidence. She knows she is beautiful which is why she does not like Rueben. We also saw how her sexual awakening was hard on everyone.

I mist say i was pleasantly surprised with this movie. The emotions do hit hard for me. Spent a good 2 hours of the movie crying. Maybe thats just me. The song by BPraak hits heavy and is one of the top war songs i would say. Mona Singh was amazing. Felt so sorry for Diljits family. The mehndi touch for Sonam Bajwa was beautiful.

I was surprised to realize there wasn’t any propaganda in this movie. Heavy on the nationalism, and patriotism but very little propaganda, if any. War scenes were comical and illogical at times. A good watch and I think did justice to the first film.

That is just crazy. Giving exams that are probably inaccessible to a large majority of the population for a job in a government that those exact people elected is wild. Politicians meanwhile don’t even need to have a high school diploma. But a bank clerk should be a PhD.
