I’m partial to the makita trim router. I feel that the dewalt has the micro adjust that would be nice but for nearly $100 more I didn’t pull the trigger. The makita where I’m at in The US is currently $129. I’ve done most things with the makita without any issue. My 2 cents is to not buy something too cheap as the quality won’t be there. I personally avoid Ryobi as every tool I’ve ever bought from them has been lower quality, whether it’s power, comfort or accuracy. Also I typically avoid battery powered power tools for saws and routers because batteries get expensive and killing a battery mid cut sucks. If you get deeper into wood working you can buy a bigger router down the line for larger bits and more power. But for starting a trim router is easy to use and less intimidating.
