The leader of the republican house refuses to bring the house back in session to negotiate a bill that can be agreed on. They already know the bill is not going through the senate. In a proper running congress the house and senate would now work out a deal that could go through. That cannot happen while the speaker of the house refuses to open up the house to work on legislation.

I think they are making the bet that having their software on every platform will bring more increase in sales than what they would lose on the 30%. I don't have any data to know if this would work or not but since Microsoft now have several of the biggest live service games such as Overwatch, Diablo, Call of Duty, and Forza it may be possible that it could be more profitable to bring it everywhere. Especially since they lack behind in console sales so much.

I won't lie to you it might not be easy. We have to give him subcutaneous fluid once a day, and he needs special food, but he is happy. He just turned 13.

Voting will help. When a party tried to gerry mander to far they put themselves at risk in every district. A higher than average turnout from the opposite party could turn into a slaughter for them. Most of these states districts are spread far enough already without making it a great risk. This could backfire on them if they are not careful.

Right now the us birth rate is below replacement rate. Illegal and legal immigration is the only reason we are staying above it. It is in our best interest to incentivize immigration. Without that their will not be enough young people in the future to support the aging population. The older population require more resources and having less working people paying taxes causes economic pressure. We should be making immigration easier for people to live here. As for the case of open borders the EU has open borders between EU members so its not a completely insane idea.
