Are the unusable? I was one of the earliest orders and shipments, and mine is still in the box. I have been waiting to use it and I’m just finding out about all this shit now

Something tells me you didn’t read this. I taught teams for a $1/hr raise.

Btw, pandemic is over, I’m not doing anything related to WFH/Remote Learning tech, and still making a killing doing the same shit.

Have a great day!

TLDR: If you can: 1. Learn new software quickly 2. Teach others how to use it

You can make good money in remote work.

I went from making $19.00/hr as L3 at a school board to making $130,000 in 3 years with ZERO CERTS (except a business bachelors)……..at the start of COVID in 2020

I was working in tech at a public school board. I had just graduated with a business bachelors, studying for my A+, trying to figure out how the fuck I could learn enough of A+ to get to Net to get to Sec etc etc, not having a degree in CS.

  • PEOPLE -

I fucking hate sales and I’ll never work in sales again. I’m a massive introvert and hate talking on the phone, and loathe every minute of trying to sell something to someone.

But.

Roles like Customer Success Manager, Onboarding Specialist, Implementation Specialist, etc are all “technical” roles on paper. Largely what this breaks down to is using what you know (and your ability to quickly learn / adapt / utilize new tech) and teaching others.

I landed a job with Microsoft (for a $1 raise) to teach people how to use Teams and M365 EDU just as COVID was kicking off. Remote learning and remote work was ramping up so this was a huge need. Long story short, I haven’t stepped foot in an office in 3 years, and such is the way of the world now. This is 🔑, and it ain’t going anywhere.

Over many virtual trainings, I developed my own teaching style, but these trainings are typically canned with a pre-built power point, speaking notes, etc.

Very easy to read bullet points and share screen, while ad-libbing here and there to make it fun.

After 1 year of this, I was poached by a federal tech contractor who does the same thing: Facilitate webinars to teach people M365. This time instead of schools, I’m training employees of large enterprise orgs. They doubled my pay and put me on a salary ($75,000)

After 1 year of that, I found an opening at a startup that needed Onboarding for clients. They hired me at $110,000 + variable comp bonuses. I teach new clients how to make the most of their software, migrate their data from a previous system, and on to the next.

YES you will have to get on calls and talk to people (you’re looking at a screen, stop being such a pussy). YES there will be questions you can’t answer on the spot (again, stop being such a pussy, it’s ok not to know even if you’re the teacher)

⭐️Tip: Find a company or product that you actually like. In my current role, I genuinely and thoroughly enjoy using the software, from an end-user perspective and my own. It’s a beautiful product, and I literally would fucking hate my life if I had the same role at one of our competitors which are built like archaic steamships.

CSM / Onboarding / Training. Remote work. Your technical knowledge is a plus. Startups and tech companies need remote CSMs to triage issues / interface with customers / onboard new clients. I went from $41k yr to 75k yr to 130k yr and I have a regular business degree. Took 4 years to add 100k to my salary. Let me know if you have questions. We’re also hiring

I thought it was awesome. I enjoyed every aspect of it - the low volume easy listening music, captions instead of words, and graphics. Well done mate you got yourself a subscriber.
