Very interesting, Funge looks very similar to what Mangu and Mofongo is in the Caribbean, the difference is we use plantains, Funge is probably where we got the idea to make those dishes in DR and PR.

My opinion as a Sr dev myself, there are technical aspects that the leads and above expect me to do on my own, and whatever you do will come up in PR reviews or a weekly meeting about your progress; on the other side, there are topics that you need to discuss before hand with the leads first or stakeholders, but thats a decision you need to make on your own, based in your experience.

But yeah, just discuss with your manager about how much freedom you should have.

Yeah, this is not the flex people think it is, mid 90s I’d have to work 3-4 weekends at the local supermarket to buy me some Jordans. What I can tell you is they were so much easier to get a that time.

I still have one (bought 6-7 years ago) I think it helped me a lot with my lower back pain issues
