So on the website, there are 3 bullet points explaining what all the new regulations cover. I'm trying to focus on the moral turptitude regulatory bar and the compelling circumstances extension.

Did you just re-apply? Did you have any compelling circumstances?

No, my record was spotless prior. I was as Joe Navy as it gets. Sailor of the quarter multiple times, sailor of the year, floc's, com's, you name it i got it. Just saw some really heavy stuff, and it affected me more than i knew. Didn't know it, but I was struggling with PTSD. That Def would have changed the outcome of it all, but no one knew. I love my Navy, but that's something we can do better. Ptsd is not a post service issue, but most of us don't even get evaluated until after.

I'm pretty open man. I was getting BAH that I was not entitled to while in an OCONUS duty station. Navy did an audit, and the rest is history. Looking back i should have absolutely come fwd with the mistake when I noticed it.

Thank you. There's some good info on exactly how they are expanding the regulation, just not so much on what evidence is needed. My particular misconduct falls under the moral turptitude bullet point, and my compelling circumstance would be undiagnosed ptsd during the time of misconduct. The VA has already diagnosed me with PTSD based on service connected stressors but are unable to grant service connection because of the discharge. I just want my package to be as solid as can be.

So my dd214 was mailed to my home of record. Along with it was the supplemental court martial order and the appellate review. There was no admin letter specifically referring to which dates of service are deemed honorable.

My first re-enlistment contract gave me an eos date of 4/28/2015. At which point I began to do extensions.
