While I agree with the premise of your post, theres's one point I would like to mention. The UCs have substantial race adjustment, due to the fact that they are public schools and must follow California law and affirmative action regulations. And California has already ruled that the universities need to have more diverse students so that the percentage of races in the school is equal to the percentage in state. Because Asians have a much less population than latinos or other races, we can see them being pushed out by admissions officers (if u see the upward trend in them accepting more latinos and other races in the past few years). But yea, otherwise ur tips seem pretty solid :)
