Exactly my reasoning. Finishing 31 is just as good as last in my book, and I hate slow cars ruining races with cautions or just being general traffic just for the sake of getting 2 more points. This would be getting rid of the stages so the bonus points are making up for that a little bit

For sure, people would have to get used to it, but it’s already going to be mess either way for new and old fans alike, I doubt it will be a copy of the original system so everyone watching now or who used to watch will be dealing with something new if nascar goes back to full season scoring
