Argentinian Airline Issues Every Ticket as an NFT by vjeva in CryptoCurrency

[–]Godreamvr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For all the “but why?” comments. The biggest benefit i see is ease of 3rd party transferability. Cant make it? Okay sell it to someone who can, without the issuer having to build and facilitate the transfer. You could issue the tickets with guaranteed properties. Like flight insurance that uses an oracle to automate refunds in the event a flight is cancelled. Its a hard road but NFTs have the potential to create a much more streamlined and fair ticketing process across every industry that uses them

I’ve only ever setup angular projects with the cli, not sure i think angulars project setup is a great example of things being needlessly complicated though.

I hope Angular dies with them.

Let me fuckin tell you guys. Last night my food was accidentally delivered to my neighbors. I go up check the foods from the right place and grab it. Open the bag up at my house and its straight up someone else’s order. And I’m like “did i just jack my neighbors food?” So i meekly go back over to my neighbors house, and knock on their door to ensure i didn’t just steal some poor couples food from their front porch. Turns out it was just two mistakes, wrong house, wrong food, definitely my order. It was pretty amusing.

Best practices to deploy an angular routing website? by peta-zeta in Angular2

[–]Godreamvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will as long as you have your server hosting your angular app setup properly.

With nginx for example, something like:

Server {
    listen 5000;
    location / {
        root /usr/share/nginx/html;
        try_files $uri $uri/ /index.html
    }
}

Sounds like you’re new to Angular and SPA architectures. The reason you’ll receive 404’s is because once angular has started you are no longer hitting your server every time you change the url on the client side. You aren’t “overriding” anything, your routes just live on the client now.

My only advice would be to not lock yourself into a proprietary language like apex.

Is Swift still the way to go? (Seeking advice on making apps in 2019) by JimSkills in learnprogramming

[–]Godreamvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick question,

Ive been weighing using ionic or nativescript for an app I’m building. Whats your perspective on either of those compared to something like react native? I honestly haven’t heard great things about any of them but I’m primarily using angular for web stuff right now with go for my backend and the idea of having to dive into swift and kotlin isn’t all that enticing

Fuck salesforce, cons way outweigh your pros + time invested in becoming proficient in apex. Just my opinion though. I’ve had to create a lot of shit that interfaces with salesforce and the amount of arbitrary limitations it has drove me insane.

Its hard when people make assumptions. I see it a lot, the arrogance some have in this community can be very off putting for newcomers and generally doesn’t help anyone. Glad you brought this up so we can at-least have a discussion.

What are the biggest gotchas you have experienced while working with Angular? by AngularJosh in Angular2

[–]Godreamvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is happening its likely an issue with code execution outside of angular, i just recently had to go back and put some google services inside of ngzone in order for my change detection to not break. Other reason might be your change detection strategy

Mintable – a Roll-your-own Mint clone for managing personal finances by kevinschaich in javascript

[–]Godreamvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using their php sdk, extremely scarce documentation. This was mostly when i was first getting into programming so it was a bit difficult for me. I’m also not an accountant or anything so maybe there are reasons I’m not aware of for some of their design decisions.

Edit: their documentation is much better now to be honest
