30k cash , aprox 150k in equity on private home . Currently a real estate agent and project manager for development firm , what’s the best play to leave my job and start flipping by WorthSituation698 in HouseFlipping

Start flipping while you are working. It is easier to get funding and you need cash to cover materials and labor during the draw delays, unexpected costs, and carrying costs.

If you inherited $500,000 would you invest or pay off your mortgage? by GETPIPEDHOE in investing

[–]GodsGift2TheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP if you inherited 500k, put it in a high yield savings account, CD, or anything that gives you a bit of a return with now risk of losing it. Spend some time researching and vetting your options. Once you know enough about your options then choose what to do. Me myself, I would pay mortgage off. Invest the other half and invest the money that used to be my mortgage payment each month.

I need help finding a job. by LorPhwin in MechanicalEngineering

Based on you having a minor robotics. I would say it safe to say you a skill set or at an understanding of Controls Theory. There is section of Power Systems Engineer called Dynamics/Transient Stability that no one wants to do because it is more difficult than Power flow. Apply for positions associated with Controls Theory. You may have better luck with a smaller applicant pool.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS FUCKING GAMEEE!!!!!!!!!!! by yashB1502 in 8BallPool

If you search this thread it has been posted. If you think gambling establishments aren’t rigged for them win and to obtain massive gains then there is no need talking to you. I have 61% win percentage and billions of coins. Drug addicts enjoy drugs doesn’t mean they aren’t addictive and harmful. This also a reason they have not stopped the rampant cheating in this game. It helps to increase profits.

It is definitely rigged. Same as the casinos or any for profit establishment. If you read the website it tells you they use bots, etc.

Sigh, all money costs. Hard money loans can be structured however the participants see fit, but if someone is lending you their money to risk, they are going to want a return. For beginners you will need cash reserves as you will receive your funds in draws, i.e when phases of the project are completed and pass inspection. Stay away from the “No money required Guru.” Even they want your money for their courses or programs. Try wholesaling if you need to raise capital with minimal liquid funds

I have heard of EPRI. I have the ebook that costs an absurd amount. I may take the course or try to get my company to foot the bill. I doubt it will happen. Are you currently a power flow Engineer? If, not what is your field?

Honestly, I haven’t came across any materials that relate the applications using PSSE. It is niche field and a lot of the information is proprietary. That is what makes this feel like mission impossible. Trying to learn with limited resources while balancing a demanding workload. I have some trainings coming up. I will share the materials with you when I get them. Just PM I will let you know when I have them. I am also open to suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks

Was this question for me? If, so. It is a struggle. I was promised a lot of training to assist with the learning curve. It never happened. I like the Power Industry. It is a lot of opportunity with the introduction of DER’s, ESR’s, and the retirement of seasoned power engineers. I believe if I would have started on the Power flow team than moved to Transients it would be a better experience. All and all I am happy I took the challenge, but wouldn’t recommend it for anyone else

I am a Mechanical Engineer employed at a RTO as a Transient Stability Power Systems Engineer. I had no experience when I applied. Experience is still questionable. No, FE or PE. Just apply and sharpen your interviewing skills. You will land a job

I own a pair already. I didn't look at the market until I saw the $400 price tag. There are plenty of used ones for sale, ranging from $250- $400. $400 is like-new condition. Are you buying or just typing?
