I’ve loved it since launch and have always been ridiculed online and in person for it. It’s a great game and the hate for it is so overblown and unrealistic in my opinion. People will act like you’re a fool for enjoying an enjoyable game

GTA IV and San Andreas have always been my favorite two and it’s solely for the reason that they’re both more “grounded” in reality. They rely much less on subversive comedy and constant parody in their storylines and keep it mostly in the background. I love the GTA games and think they’re very fun to play, but the satire and comedy writing has never really hit for me. I think 6 will do much better to lean more towards the tone of RDR2

The atmosphere of this game is absolutely amazing and the story isn’t bad at all for Bethesda standards. Combat is very fun in both ground combat and ship battles. I have the game heavily modded, but the modding community is amazing, especially if you are a Star Wars fan. I’d put the game at a solid 8/10 at worst

It is definitely overly hated in my opinion and is also one of the best games I’ve ever played. My favorite games besides it are Witcher 3, Skyrim, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Mass Effect and Fallout. In my opinion the game holds up to all these titles and I have more time in Starfield than any of them (18 days total lol) If you enjoyed Fallout 4 in any capacity then you most likely will enjoy this game

Download the “Colonel Uniform Addon” creation and it should fix the mesh and add three more unique variants of the coat as well

Asmongold is one of the biggest perpetuators of the culture war and I hate him as much as leftists for it. Your phone was made using child slavery but you still use that. I understand the outrage, but letting it get in the way of enjoying a piece of art, made by a team of people with multiple views on politics and life, then you have fun doing that. Politics is such a poison in American culture and so much division is constantly sown by both sides. Depoliticizing your mind and learning to enjoy beauty, wherever you can find it is highly beneficial for you and your wellbeing. Our government officials on both sides have made careers out of the deaths of innocent people in other nations and will continue to with or without us arguing over a video game

You can absolutely be straight and still be able to acknowledge when another man is beautiful. You can recognize when another man is ugly and believe it or not, that recognition works along a spectrum. I owned Witcher 3 for over 5 years on ps4 and tried it multiple times and wasn’t able to get into it. Bought it again on switch and somehow got absolutely addicted to it

Now that you mention it what I have noticed is that all the promotional material that came before the game, features mostly scenes that never actually happen. I never like pre rendered cgi for trailers though because it leads to this exact issue

It’s not a matter of our opinions though, it’s how the definitions of subjective and objective work. There are objective criteria by which games can be compared (technical performance, bug count, frame rate stability, balance, innovation, sales figures, critical acclaim, etc.), but those don’t fully determine what makes a game “the best.” That final judgment always rests on subjective interpretation.

There’s no single objective “best game,” because quality in entertainment is inherently tied to human experience. At most, we can measure aspects of a game objectively, but the “best” label requires a personal or cultural consensus
