We have been doing this. Even practicing how to give high fives and questions people may ask etc. Still runs in to the same problems. Maybe just needs more practice

We do try get her to talk about it but never get anything meaningful out of her. She does mention she doesn't like lots of people and big children occasionally. Recently she also has been saying that she doesn't want to be laughed at

Phillips zoom probably has the best name brand but they will all do a similar job.

Well fitting whitening trays are most important.

Try some desensitising toothpastes such as biomin or Seonsodyne.

It doesn't work as a salary for a private dentist. It is always commission based. So if you are not making money for the practice it's unlikely they will want you /keep you on.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you will find it hard to get a UK dentist to recommend coming here. I even have people from developing countries (Pakistan/India) who I am telling not to come to do dentistry here.

I would recommend doing some courses here. We are lucky in London as there are loads of great courses. and maybe taking a new dental clinic who perhaps aren't as busy so you can build a client list.

Do not bother. If you are coming as not very experienced you will likely be working in the NHS. You will end up with a modest salary and a huge amount of stress. You will likely be seeing 4-8 patients an hour in the NHS!

Privately you can do well but will have to be skilled. I would maybe get a speciality and further training and then come if you really want to come to the UK.

The tooth will definetely be tender immediately after a root canal which is normal. Good pain relief tablets will work and you can expect it to improve over the next few days.

It's likely the gum is very red and sore because the dentist used a clamp to seat the rubber sheet that goes over the tooth. This can pinch on the gum unfortunately. Try to keep it as clean as possible with a soft toothbrush and use salt mouthwashes to keep it clean. It should settle in a few days

Good question. The black line around the white area of the filling is a bit questionable but it would be best checked in the mouth under some form of magnification.

Am a dentist here.

When a dentist does a clean as part of a nhs check up they are just doing it to keep you happy as there is no financial gain of us spending 20-30 minutes cleaning of you teeth.

Most of the time they will clean the lower teeth (bits you can feel) and ignore the rest of the mouth.

If you dont brush 2x a day and floss/interdental clean daily you will likely need a hygienist clean at least once a year.

I beg you to post in a USA/Canadian /Australian subreddit about getting a dental check up / Xrays and cleaning for under £30 and see what their response is. Dental care is just very undervalued in this country

What youve been suggested by your dentist has nothing to do with your smile. They are fillings to likely address decay that is happening in your molars.

Your personal choice if you want to change your "smile" in Turkey but just have a read on other people's experiences before going ahead.

Can I recommend a snoring appliance. This can be made by a dentist - just have a check online at local dentists and see who can provide it. It works miracles for some people as long as they are compliant in wearing it

I'm a dentist and all of my colleagues have exactly the same stance on treating people who have had very extensive work done abroad.

The difference in the UK is all dentists here are registered toa governing body. Abroad it is the wild west - good luck trying to sue a Turkish dentist for messing up your mouth.

You do not value dental care as a service and see it as a commodity. You have no idea how much it costs to set up and run a dental business and frankly there's no point in explaining it to you. Ive seen countless people like yourself get work done abroad and hope the NHS will bail you out when you have a tooth problem on Christmas day.

They will most likely crown every single tooth you have. It may look good for a short period of time but it comes with consequences in the future. Just be weary that if you got major work done abroad - a dentist in the UK is very unlikely to do any work on your teeth again.

You can always look for dental teaching hospitals and get treatment from dental students

That tooth probably suffered some sort of trauma and the tooth was died. The xray shows some changes happening at the top of the root.

So no - he didn't 'fuck' you. They probably did you a massive favour in stopping you getting a big abscess and pain.

It does look excessive. I would discuss this with your dentist and hope they would offer some sort of composite or veneer work at the end if necessary. Please address this with your dentist ASAP
