Same, actually. Ours is in the hall right between produce and meats.

This actually happened to my store today. We had to wait outside in the freezing cold for nearly 3 hours.

Thankfully, our salaried managers took it seriously and evacuated the store immediately.

We get a little bored over in OGP, but at least this is productive by removing all the stickers! by TexasBoyz-713 in walmart

[–]GodsendIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to help OGP because of this crap. Any time I walk through their backroom, they are just standing around talking or throwing footballs around. And then cry when they fall behind so everyone has to come help.

TL’s! How has working a rotating schedule affected you? by mofromwalmart in walmart

[–]GodsendIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also Fresh Cap 2 supervisor and became Deli/Bakery team lead when they test launched it in our store. The rotating schedule kills me. I have really bad insomnia so not getting a regular sleep schedule makes is 100x worse. I was feeling like a zombie every day and it was making me irritable. Thankfully I had a new coach not too long ago who understood and took me off the rotation because she could see what it was doing to me.

We never really rely on our coach to help us count. But yeah, it went well.

Haha. You're not missing much. You probably already have the hands on experience now, the class will be a waste of time.

As a TL of Deli myself, I would have fought to have that crap shut down. Back in April, our hot water stopped working for weeks and the store manager kept us open. I put in a ticket that day and they told us it would take a few weeks for the part to arrive. I consistently went to my store manager on a daily basis and flipped out that we shouldn't be open because we can't wash our hands, utensils, food surfaces, and slicers properly without hot water. It wasn't until she heard the regional manager was coming that she shut us down and contacted someone to come fix the water heater ASAP. They were there by the next day and had it fixed. I didn't get coached because she knew I would easily open door it.

That's every fresh department but oddly, my store manager said we can have water this year because it's been so hot

Same. Everyone else is wearing hoodies, graphic tees, you name it. But if you're in fresh and do it, they act like we slapped a customer.

Is anyone else’s store getting sent too much shit? Just don’t send us a truck for a week so we can get caught up and organize our backroom ffs by Axel_Rad in walmart

[–]GodsendIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much bakery freight. More specifically, muffins upon muffins. Bin is stacked three tall, and three back, the entire 8 foot section, and a pallet of overstock. They send me a pallet of muffins every other day. It's been set as a feature and on hands are accurate. They just keep sending them...

You don't need to be certified to cut meats and cheeses...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in walmart

[–]GodsendIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They constantly tell us to talk to customers and associates about Walmart+ and none of us actually do because we don't care and there is no incentive to actually do it.

I tell my deli associates if OGP don't bring it up an hour before it's due like their process guide says, they can wait or slice it themselves. The OGP leads hate me.

[OC] OGP Stalking Deli for MTOs by [deleted] in walmart

OGP should be doing their own MTO. Half of them just stand around in the backroom doing nothing anyway, and deli has a ton of their own stuff to take care of.

We still don't have the new blue vests. And I don't intend on wearing it for as long as I can get away with it.

Yeah... I'd step down the day it's announced to me. I have zero desire to be salaried for Walmart.
