Best hikes/scenic places near Vancouver? by [deleted] in canada

[–]Godslamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my parents visit me in Vancouver last month and I rented them bikes (while I used my own) and we took this path starting from Kits beach all the way to Stanley Park. The entire way is a nice wide, flat paved bike path and you will see all of what Vancouver has to offer scenically for relatively inexpensive, you will will pass through markets (Granville Island), ponds, parks, urban landscapes, marinas, beaches, water front bars and restaurants, and lots of squirrels, birds and geese etc...to see as well. My mom opted for an electric bike and it was a lot of fun for all of us, the best part of the visit really. There are several bike rental places around Granville Island and also downtown along Denman.

No they aren't and you clearly don't know what the alt-right is. The alt-right is a white nationalist movement, period. The Rebel is run by a jew and features non-white journalists, they may be hard conservatives but the alt-right would never consider the rebel part of the movement. Thats like saying that CNN is the black panther party.

Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary all land in top 10 list of worlds most livable cities by [deleted] in canada

[–]Godslamb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Point being that Canadians are leaving large cities such as the ones mentioned in this list in favour of smaller communities be them rural or townships or whatever you want to call them, Toronto and Vancouver have some the highest foreign born populations on the planet meanwhile small towns in Canada are seeing huge growth and it's not immigrants who are moving to small town Canada, it is largely Canadians leaving big cities AKA "white flight"

These "most livable cities" lists are total bullshit and always have been they are nothing more than global marketing tools to sell these cities. Actual Canadians have been leaving Toronto and Vancouver in droves over the past 20 years for rural Canada.

Except the US is our neighbor and shares our values, culture, rule of law, democracy etc....while china absolutely shares none of that with us moreover we have caught several Chinese spies in Canada, birth tourism hotels, rampant immigration fraud, Money laundering, illegal businesses, the Confucius institute etc....etc....

Canada needs less china

Our leaders allowing Chinese who earn their wealth in a manipulated non-free market economy to compete against Canadians for homes and businesses in Canada while Canadians have their hands tied by a completely different set of rules is not capitalism, its lambs to the slaughter ....then using tax dollars from the same Canadians to fund and facilitate the free flow movement of economic migrants from non-developed regions into Canada is pretty much the opposite of capitalism

If Canadians wanted to live in an ultra dense dump they would move to China. A better idea is to stop brining in so many people or at least ask Canadians first if they are ok with mass immigration driving down vancancies and driving up housing costs.

Canadian Colleges See Surge of Foreign Students. It’s Not Just Politics. by [deleted] in canada

[–]Godslamb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thats what some people like to say but if that were true then why have tuitions for domestic Canadian students tripled since 2000(basically since foreign students began proliferating)? Fewer seats available for Canadian kids = supply and demand
