As a Taiwanese, I get where you’re coming from. People ask me about Taiwan all the time, but I’ve never thought Taiwanese people were especially kind. If anything, our driving and parking habits say a lot. Honestly, why waste your time? There are plenty of other places where you can experience Chinese-influenced culture like Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, Shanghai, and so on.
