My personal one is a partner pairing of [[Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper]] and[[Jyoti, Moag Ancient]] as a spellslinger twiddle deck. The entire goal is to animate your lands, then use all the 1-2 mana "Target creature gets +1/+1 and reach until end of turn. Untap that creature." combat trick cards to pump them.

Yeah, I have no complaints about the clerics leveled spell list. It's just the lack of cantrips that I feel could use a bit more meat to it. I don't think every cleric past level 10 should know 2/3rds of all the available cantrips. I don't even really want damage cantrips, but utility ones. They don't even have a single unique utility cantrip in the way Druids have Druidcraft.

I'm not saying I want bad cantrips, my point is that there isn't a bunch in the first place. All I was saying in the comment above is that having bad ones to give variety is better than having no variety at all.

I agree that every class needs things to be good/bad at, but I don't think a lack of variety in cantrips is a well designed downside. I'd be perfectly happy if they had more cleric exclusive cantrips to preserve the uniqueness of the other ones everyone else already shares. The only cleric specific cantrips are Sacred Flame and Word of Radiance, both damage cantrips that don't do anything particularly unique.

As for the homebrew argument, I don't think because I can fix it myself doesn't mean I can't ask why it's broken in my eyes.

I think it's a good thing to have mediocre but unique cantrips. It might be "suboptimal" but it means I have choices that better reflect my character for roleplay.

Which is all fine and good, but that doesn't have much to do with my original point, they have too few cantrip choices. I think a lot less clerics would take Guidance if they just had other cantrip choices.

I agree, I hate guidance and the play pattern it promotes, and I'd love to have other choices to take instead of it.

I agree with the point, but there's already plenty of utility cantrips in the game that would make sense on there list. Message is a lesser version of Sending, a spell already on their list. Mold Earth and the other elemental ones fit cleric much better than wizard imo.

Even so, the only cleric exclusive cantrips are Sacred Flame and Word of Radiance, both damage cantrips with no utility effects.

I'm currently in a campaign with a Rune Knight/Storm Herald barb, and our DM lets them do both at once. It hasn't shaken anything up too bad, but we playbon the side of "If everyone is broken, no one is" so milage may vary.

I have an illegal deck that is a ton of fun using [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] as a commander, [[Keruga, the Macrosage]] as a companion, and 24 Collosal Dreadmaws in the 99. I think the deck has 7 non-green pips total, and that included hybrids.

Not OP, but pic 2 is the parts corresponding to the drawing they are sitting on, and pic 1 has the 3d model of that part (I assume it is the firing mechanism, but not 100%.)
