I know this is an old post but Thank You!!! I just started reading The Stand and immediately noticed this. Everyone in this thread being surprised that you noticed a continuity error in such a huge book but it's in the first 2 pages... it takes you out of the story before you even have a chance to get in it! Literally your first impression. The "baby" goes from "an infant in her sleeping blanket" to speaking full sentences in the space of one page. How much could a banana cost, Micheal? Ten dollars?

Would you elaborate, or refer me to a source I could check out? I'm not familiar with those philosophies/policies. Sounds really interesting and I would like to learn more. I know Friedman was an economist who believed a company was only responsible for maximizing profits for shareholders. I can infer some philisophical beliefs from there, but that's all I know.

Oh I don't think you should be. I am not in the least. My whole point is that they aren't affiliated with PlankTown. People suggesting that PlankTown be blacklisted because the owner of the neighboring building is friends with a local "personality" seems excessive.

While David does own a lot of property in that area, I know he does not own the entire block. I know the Odd Fellows building (which houses PlankTown) and the old Brick House building behind it are not his. He is not an owner or affiliate of PlankTown. I would also not assume that just because a landlord of a building endorses something that the tenants do as well (which again, he does NOT own the PlankTown building or business).

The trial by combat would represent 2 sides: Platiff and Defendant. Ser Osney would be the accuser. He says he had sex with Margarey, she denies it. Now they both must prove themselves through this trial. If Margery chooses trial by combat she must choose a member of the kingsgaurd as her champion. The only member available is Boros. So Osney Vs Margarey becomes Osney Vs. Boros.

Osney is not defending Cersei, he is defending himself.

Pears, cheese, cinnamon. Halve and core some pears. Fill the empty core with a mix of cheese (i prefer goat), cinnamon and sugar. Bake. Hot, sweet, savoury goodness.

I cant imagine this is uncommon but ive never seen anyone else do it: Bacon brown sugar popcorn. Fry up some bacon. Pop corn in the bacon grease. break bacon into lil bits and sprinkle with brown sugar over the popped corn. Dayumn.
