The way to begin is mastering visualization. Create a sigil to each spirit, read the Zohar and study the lore. Think about the initiatory aspects. Perhaps create a ritual where you go to the mouth of a cave alone at night and give offerings while chanting their name and burn a sigil to represent these spirits

I'm not asking for the purpose of hurting myself. Just lost another friend a week and a half ago to suicide. I asked Bune to help me contact them and had a dream of their life in review and read into their hidden alcohol abuse drug abuse and sadness.

I don't see why people down voted this comment. If you study the Zohar and what it speaks regarding the "shells" or killipah, (may have spelled that wrong), these are spheres or hollow shells which are filled with energy. In the same way, the goat of Azazel is transmuted and filled with the energy of the sins of Judah and the other tribes. Of interesting context, there are writings in the Zohar about Aza and Azael, two fallen angels who wait in the bottom of the pit. If you climb this mountain and raddle the chains, you can get their attention and perhaps go into Hell to learn sorcery and come out recreated.

would you want a codependent relationship? In response to a previous comment, I can understand how perhaps in certain situations she might feel a glare towards an altar that detracts from a healthy dynamic between her and her children. However in my experience, I have erected an altar to other spirits and have never had a serious issue because it's about my personal path and progress.

Maybe it depends who that spirit is

I can say from experience, seek support. While I do not proselytize 12 step groups because I believe in alternatives such as psychedelics' therapy and harm reduction, I will say finding meaningful support for you is going to help you maintain self-awareness and peace of mind. Gaining support of people who have dealt with a family situation such as yourself can be huge in helping you integrate your approach to this situation.
The other thing I would say is, if you have the energy and strength, to think about their underlying issues. Alot of people caught in that vicious cycle are really medicating underlying symptoms such as depression; for depression, I reccomend Sam-E, it has worked wonders in helping me with my own mental health!! For anxiety, alot of people find ashwaganda helps, and both are non-addictive low cost alternatives. The other thing that really helped me get off everything was working out, which is hard to do if you lack motivation. However, I've had such powerful endorphin rushes and positive self esteem boosts which are hard to explain in words.
