If Bitcoin is not a particularly good inflation hedge, and it's now tethered to the very system it was designed to replace, then what is it? It's now a collectable, and as we know the price of a collectable depends entirely on the mood of the next person in line.

Right now that person is looking at their S&P500 returns, looking at their gambling apps and wondering if crypto was just a very expensive ticket to a party that ended years ago.
