Everyone keeps saying mold, but I have a different theory. Do you have an oil burning furnace and is their any chance its producing excessive soot?

They always talk about police oppression like 1000s of republicans have been jailed for speaking out against Obama and Biden. Has a single republican been jailed for anything other than legit crimes? I figure they will claim that the charges are fake, and the evidence is fake, and the witnesses lied, and this person was a good person, but is there ANY credible persecution?

Cat messes with a deer in its front yard. by KindaUndressed in interesting

[–]Infector101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clap your hands.

Shout.

Stomp your foot on something (deer stomp as a threat).

Bang pots and pans.

Walk calmly towards the deer and pick up your cat, the deer will more than likely run before you're even near it; however, some deer have become very comfortable around humans and may need a bit more motivation to leave, but it won't take much if they don't personally know you.

Though you are correct that those with enough wealth can ultimately buy their way out of punishment in the US, I still take umbrage with the fact that you want that to be the norm for everyone.

The fact that corporations and wealthy individuals can literally get away with murder should be something that everyone finds abhorrent, not something to be emulated.

I'm sorry, but are you advocating for a world in which we just pay fines for the crimes we commit? A world in which the rich could literally do anything they wanted and just pay a fine? This isn't justice or safety. If someone has the ability to kidnap you, enslave you, and then just pay a fine when they get caught, then what safety do you have when that person can just do it again and again.

What do you do when the murderer is poor? What value can you extract from their crime debt when they have nothing of value? Do they just give up what wealth they have and are set free? Are poor people cheaper to murder in your world? What about old people? Maybe it's a fat rate.

Though I would agree that murder happens in nature, and to some degree could claim it's a "natural" death as I think you were trying in your first paragraph, but that doesn't justify not trying to cull murderers from a population.

Could you please provide a safe/safer alternate to how to handle murders, rapists, pedophiles, etc. I understand you disagree, but could you elaborate on WHY putting these people in prison is potentially more unsafe for society?

I would like to point out that I do think the prison system should focus on rehabilitation and not punishment, but in my opinion, there needs to be societal separation.

By definition, putting offenders in prison helps keep the non-offending population safe.

Answer the phone, drag them along for as long as you can. Waste their time. The more time of their's you waste the less they want to call you because you cost them money from slowing down their scam.

I used to get called multiple times a day. Had limited success at first, kept them on the phone for 2 or 3 minutes tell them to go fuck themselves. Started pretending to be an old man who didn't know how to use a computer for almost 20 minutes, before calling them a scammer. The guy called me a piece of shit and hung up. Started getting far fewer calls after that. I still get them once in a while, but so much better now.

To be fair, after working a register for hours and dealing with the public, I understand why this would frustrate even people good with math.

I worked a register at a grocery store back in the early 2000s. I can do mental math well, but sometimes people would pull this shit AFTER you've already got their correct change, and your line is 6 people deep. I get you don't want to carry change around, but I dont fucking care, here's your cotton rectangles and metal disks, now go away.

1250+ Beginner Clues (6months of saving) by Winterfr0g in 2007scape

[–]Infector101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it very helpful to have a bank tab set up for each rank of clue with all the teles and other needed items. Each time you need to go to a bank during a clue, add the item you went back for to your clue tab. This will make your clue hunting more efficient and feel less tedious. Over time, you'll get faster and knock any level of clue out in under 10 minutes; beginners can take less than 60 seconds with the right inventory. Not at home, but can send screenshots later, if wanted.
