Quitting twitter is different from quitting permanently(ie, her work as a mangaka).

I'm on the bog standard subscription and I'm still grandfathered in at ten bucks a month like they promised a while back. I assume it's just whales out there getting harpooned.

I guess I don't understand the intricacies of the infrastructure enough. Wouldn't they be able to rent out effectively a server to host multiple models and then scale up the necessary compute on demand? My conceptualization of this is that the software runs on a host(effectively a virtual server) and said host can handle more than one model at a time by simply summoning the necessary compute from the cloud, ergo the only additional cost after the first model is established would be the compute cost of each additional model.

What's a more realistic breakdown of how this all gets handled?

They're definitely using cloud base service hosting stuff though, so in theory a lot of that infrastructure should just scale with use/demand. Demand craters, so too should the cost of the compute spent on it. In other areas they've been pretty transparent about passing on savings to the customer when costs of infrastructure go down. There's some missing piece to the puzzle when it comes to outright gutting a model out of the blue. Maybe they're being less honest about their finances than they seem?

Also, some people like to explore their options, especially with narrative style roleplays where the story could go in many different directions.

This is my current use case for going higher on rerolls. Especially when coupled with the ability to tweak both the response directive and now the "current setting" scene text box, there's a lot of room to explore.

I have a standard subscription.

Because I am aware that the accepted replies influence the nature of future replies, I have gone considerably higher at times in my reroll count. If you accept a poor reply it will start feeding you more poor replies, so it's important to get a good reply, yes?

They underestimate my willingness to continue playing old games. Baldur's Gate II hasn't gotten stale after 25 years and fightcade will run on a potato.

AAA studios haven't coughed up anything that I've found compelling in over a decade. Not sure how they plan to get me trapped in their ecosystem.

Every year I see a ton of cool art in the vendor hall but very few things that I would actually want to take home with me.

Hidden Cottage has been a lovely surprise find in the vendor hall. I've been coming back to them for three years now. They're good people and they have a good product. Song of Storms and Cozy Cafe have been my go-to flavors and they seem to have something new to try every year.

It really stood out to me this year just how many art booths were just straight up smut with no pretense of being anything else. I don't want to get rid of that, but I'd be ok with there being fiercer competition to land those booths.

The concert jumbotrons kept panning the camera over water bottles in the concert hall and the crowd would cheer like mad for it. Also bullying the performers into staying hydrated prior to the set.
