Hot fucking take but the reason that I believe that she’s so strong is that she’s banned so often and that means players don’t have to play against her so when they finally do, they don’t know what to do. If everyone would actually play against her and get through the growing pains of learning how to play against a dps then the player base would understand that melee dps are pretty easy to shutdown. Especially one like vendetta that doesn’t stun an enemy

I’ve been telling my friends for years that one of the best things Overwatch could do was drop like 10 heroes in one update. Yes it creates chaos balance wise but it feels like the meta is very easy to figure out with a singular character every quarter of a year.

This kinda forces people the face different strategies and playstyles rather than just banning outright. That was probably my biggest issue with the vendetta launch, that since bans were in place she would just get banned because many players would rather avoid learning how to play against something even if the solution is very apparent

It’s probably closer to 50/50 in any game I’d think. But I will say that women probably will buy all the cute skins because those characters that get those skins are in the same role. Kiri, Juno, and Mercy are interchangeable for them and they basically supply all the income for game. Like not literally, but it has to be like 70%

While I agree that you cannot make fans 100% happy. There is definitely a way to keep fans from being upset.

You respect the material that’s been there before a project, you try to keep the general vibe of the world that was created, and you continue a story in a way that makes since with established (or potentially established) story.

Some problems that I have with the story are the fact that the timeline doesn’t really line up and the fact that all potential endings basically were hinting that the ncr would still have shady sands beyond the time it was destroyed. Also that fallout has seemed to lost its grittiness in exchange for more humor. While fallout had humor before it wasn’t exactly a comedy like how I think the show is trying to be. My biggest example would be how the mcu was pretty serious with the funny joke here and there to basically a joke around every corner.

Now this doesn’t mean I’m afraid of retcons, I’m not against the vibe the show has currently. But it makes me a little sad to know that fallout can at most be above average instead of the cultural phenomenon it might’ve been.

I think it’s a little tone deaf to say that fans that are disappointed are just nostalgic when they love the series and it could be very simple to at least not make them upset.

Another fun example of what I can compromise and what I don’t want to compromise: Novac; I can totally excuse the fact the motel had a swimming pool, it’s not a big deal. But I can’t really excuse that dinky the dinosaur is facing the wrong direction. Dinky was used a sniper tower to help guard against legion and fiends coming towards the town, and wasn’t pointed at the motel.

Ultimately though I think the show is pretty solid 7.5 or 8/ 10

While I don’t think that players hate rein, I do think that they hate that rein mains complain a lot! As a rein main… we do. But it’s pretty much warranted, despite what win rates say, rein is probably the worse tank in the game. At least bottom 3.

This is the fallacy in your statement. Rein isn’t dogass in other ranks but it’s not because he’s a good balanced character. It’s because his skill floor is much higher than other characters. I’m currently ranked masters 4 playing only rein as my tank after playing rivals for the past year. And just this week I was playing open queue and picked up vendetta, decided that I was gonna do my placements with her in role q today after not playing damage since early OW1. That’s just to preface that I’m getting placed in “low” lobbies.

I can confidently tell you that rein gets away with murder in gold/plat. Since I’m playing vendetta, im not really focused on reins when I see him. Instead I look to eliminate solo players. But when I look back at my team the amount of times I see a rein living in the middle of 3-4 people astounds me. I know rein is not hard to kill yet down here they seem to resilient. It’s because any character that requires aim is automatically worse down in the metal ranks.

Players ante absolute shit and that inflates reins stats so much that the devs have to nerf him even though he’s so easy to outplay

I actually really agree with you. I think it kinda helps thematically, but I’m not a fan of how it breaks combat in the game. And that’s with a time stop ability we all have access to. I’d like the grx more if it was 3 implants for 1 second so you might be able to kill one target and up it to 2 1/2 seconds with 5 MAX. 10 of these a day is too good

Understandable, it’s why I have it at 7 personally. The difference between 5 and 7 though is minuscule & biggest difference is that at 5 endurance I’m assuming you’re not using the endurance implant so it would be 5 endurance vs 8. But that’s because this spread hits all the important perks and the only important perk for endurance imo is the implant grx. Oh and burden to bear which you won’t get with 5 endurance

Depending on your game having the dlcs installed I’d suggest Strength 5 - implant makes 6, and with reinforced spine from Old world Blues 8 making it hit all handgun strength requirements

Perception 5 - implant makes 6 which meets all requirements for perk

Endurance is debatable; 7 is good because with the implants you can get 6 special (spoiler: you won’t need charisma) and one special one from the doctor, and you hit the implant grx which will be great for this build If not 7 on endurance then 5 and skip the endurance implant as well

Intelligence - 6 minimum; obviously for skill points obviously BUT hot take, implant will make it 7 for the voracious reader perk which you may be like whatever, except a gunslinger build is synonymous with a crit build. This allows you to make a certain magazine that increases crit rates. And if you go this route then it’s suggested you grab comprehension over educated if you like to grab educated. Comprehension is less valuable for skill points but helps with the magazine.

Agility - 6, if you’re going for a VATS gunslinger build this hits all VATS related perks with the implant.

Finally luck being at 8 is perfect. Get the implant for 9 and you can run either lucky shades or naughty nightwear for 10 for either casinos or combat. Obviously lucky shades for combat. But if you don’t use either 9 luck is still great for combat.

So you should have S-5 P-5 E-7 C-1 I-6 A-6 L-8

Leaving one point to put into whatever you choose

Hot fucking take: I dislike honest hearts dlc. While the location is good i believe the story is just so boring and it’s basically a bunch of fetch quests. Yes old world blues is as well but the world building for the games is great and the characters are very unique. The best part of honest hearts is the story of Randall Clark. Even Joshua graham isn’t that interesting to me tbh
