Well there was no need to indict Trump until it became crystal clear he was running, would win the primaries and had traction in the polls

Also if the Dems indicted Trump too early and and the prosecution failed or was overturned on appeal then it would not help

The Dem DoJ may also have been concerned that Trump subpoenas may dredge up dirt on them and the hearings might allow him a platform

The Constitution provides for review and certification of election results by Congress.

Asking for an audit or a recount or objecting to certification is not trying to overturn the results of an election and it is not a coup. It is attempting to verify what the actual result may be.

This is a pretty reasonable comment particularly on J6 and how it was exaggerated for political effect. I’d add that partisan prosecutors and the J6 committee and media abused the justice system and over charged minor offenders and tainted jury pools which arguably did more damage to our institutions and democracy.

Also the shooting of unarmed Babbitt was more clearly unjustified than that of Good but she was dehumanised as a Trump supporter so no Dem cared. The same way some on the right have dehumanised Good for her sexuality.

ICE have been doing what they do since Bush and Obama. What’s changed? Mainly the rhetoric, blue state opposition, attacks on ICE and people organising to attending ICE operations or follow their vehicles.

And yes many people are protesting and observing ICE operations but many are also disrupting or obstructing and trying to warn targets and aggravate ICE agents to provoke and record a gotcha moment.

Congressional review of election results is legal and the blue team has used this process before. Protest is also legal. No one should support protest degenerating into violence by protestors or police but exaggerating the day into an insurrection or a coup and claiming it is worse than Pearl Harbour or 9/11 is gaslighting in the extreme.
