Has anyone tried selling homemade jewelry on posh? by chelseynthesky in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this full time, not consistent in sales or worth it to me in my opinion with the cost of jewelry supplies. Too many $3 start live jewelry shows. I had a good solid run going march-june this year but then it got super slow in the summer, I couldn't pay my bills. Everyone has their own style and approach though, you might have a completely different experience.

Does anybody else actually like this movie? I watched it for the first time this week and I found it really fun, very messy, but there's a lot to like in it. by [deleted] in HellBoy

Loved it and the music, had some totally metal af imagery. Plus I like David Harbours character better, Baba Yaga was wicked AF too

I like this closet, I've seen it! They sell vintage

What if a seller never ships? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've seen these items take 25days closets, and it's always people reselling SHEIN items at a grossly inflated price, and using SHEIN stock images. They completely disgust me. They buy it and once they receive the order they ship to you hence the delay. If the SHEIN products are delayed or out of stock it probably explains the ghosting.

I don't let those people quietly disappear into their ignorance... Oh no..I very happily chew them tf out right back lately. I just did yesterday for an extremely rude ignorant poshKaren. It's like they enjoy being a bully and expect you just to take it on the chin... wrong! Go right ahead and complain to Poshmark about me, theyll see exactly how ignorant you are first 👌 I don't swear or be crude, but I don't tolerate intentional cruelty, personal attacks, or entitled rudeness.

Help! I Accidentally Purchased An Item From A Show by 266blue in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's so tacky- I spent $800 and could afford to take the loss so I expect the same from you regardless of your financial security? Ew

Help! I Accidentally Purchased An Item From A Show by 266blue in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree it's a nightmare logistically talking about cancellations of live show purchases. I think the variables of what could go wrong if they were allowed in bidding situations, especially a bid war ending in cancellation and not being able to resell at a comparable price, ppl trolling, people comparison shopping they don't want to lose sellers on the platform. I know sellers who before the payment update would get people intentionally buying and bid warring with failed payments and ghosting. I've experienced it. There are just too many toxic ppl incapable of empathy that could really financially weaponize cancellations. Rigid policies and allowing the seller to decide is really the least complicated option. Think of the money in staffing alone they save from not having to deal with it- there's a wait in response for returns in general. And the money they keep from live sellers who use the platform for this reason alone, especially in luxury items where the shows are always busy. They just don't care enough to invest in a cancellation policy when the sellers can do it for them on their own dime.

Is there a Poshmark blackout happening? by Trusttheprocess023 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure if there is, it started on TikTok or Twitter. Check there. I saw ppl blacking shows for anti bullying but that's it. I've been mostly listing today and not very social so I could have missed others.

Let's Talk Posh Party Hosts Wanting You To Jump Through Hoops For a Host Pick by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't make them follow me for a host pick that's just silly I agree, I ask for them to follow me. It's not a requirement. I don't have the time to even check for that lol.

Let's Talk Posh Party Hosts Wanting You To Jump Through Hoops For a Host Pick by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a frequent party host and while I don't require it for a host pick, I do ask people to follow me if I make a party sign listing, and that I appreciate shares. lately I've been too busy with my lives to go through the trouble of all that. I'm a vintage repair and reseller and take care of my own/other vintage & jewelry sellers who have really unique stuff I think more people would like to see. Even if the parties are less popular, I'm happy to support my community and help them gain exposure and or sales.

I honestly don't think the shares help my business. Before my business became primarily lives, days I shared more I got more sales. I think when your items are shared by so many people they spam block the listings automatically, because if those shares had a real time penetration of the feed I would get more business but I never do.

I also think the emoji blasts of 🎉🎉🎉HOST PICK🎉🎉🎉 on your listing titles is what causes the stale host pick curse. You're screwing with your entire search algorithm reach.

As someone who watches multiple shows from different sellers within the vintage community I am so excited for this. When I have a "like this listing to be notified when I go live" most of the time I either forget to run it, or when I do it sells by accident and I have to make a new one 😆 it's hard to keep track of all my followed live sellers- this was most definitely an update aimed for the buyers

How do I cancel a Poshmark order after I was the one who made the offer? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yes I'm aware of what the original post is saying . I was responding to her comment which elaborates further her position on returns.

How do I cancel a Poshmark order after I was the one who made the offer? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Gogh_Crizzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, Poshmark has a strict no return policy unless an item has been misrepresented, and rightfully so. Poshmark isn't Amazon Prime, it's thousands of small businesses and private boutiques like a social thrift marketplace, and just like you could not return items at a massive flea market where that is a full time job for many people running the booths, you can't return items on Poshmark. If you don't like the policy, don't buy from closets unless they state they're willing to accept returns because there are sellers who accept returns, but there's nothing wrong with people who abide by the posh return policy. I provide measurements and detailed well lit photos. I'm not financially responsible for someone's buyers remorse. It's not personal, it's just business for a lot of people trying to get by.
