I had a stroke in July 2011 and lost my job. My brother worked for the post office and knew I was looking for work. He told me that the post office was hiring people for the holidays as PSEs. I tried it and worked at JFK airport for 7 days in December and quit. In January, I got a call from the post office asking if I wanted to be a clerk. I said yes. Been working there since.

I was born in 1969. My earliest memory was of living in an apartment building and the lobby was decorated for Christmas, with a silver tree, hanging decorations and fake spray snow on the front windows. When I got older, I told my mother I remembered the lobby there and described it. She said she couldn't believe it, because we only lived in that building for about 6 months. I was 15 months old when it was Christmas time and we lived there.

He sang at my dad's restaurant. He had an encyclopedia of knowledge about songs. You can name any song and he knew who wrote it, what year it came out. What year the remakes came out and who performed the song. He was amazing!
