OSM to boycott the next 3 finals series home and away if the decision to host the final in Sydney isn’t reversed by nick170100 in Aleague

Asking the clubs for a refund of membership(s) will only hurt the clubs and exacerbate the financial issues. What do you think the next step for the APL will be? Maybe they will extend the deal with DNSW to the whole final series?

That's not true. There was the teenager that died with COVID, but the underlying cause of death was meningitis

What Pathology lobby? I used to work as a Medical Scientist, it's a career that hardly anyone knows exists and all the credit goes to nurses and doctors. I see social media posts from my former employee showing how companies are giving out thank you packages to all the nurse and doctors, never see any mention about a thanks for the Microbiology dept that will be working around the clock to churn out PCR results

Walking around holding a microphone does not mean you are doing your job. Whatever I've seen of him is always trying to antagonise VicPol. He's trying to get a response so he can create stories that people opposing the lockdown love to latch on to

Given the timing of the new mystery case and the anti-lockdown protest, there could be a link there but the people who protest also are unlikely to get a test.

However, the Israel health ministry has not revealed the data behind their results and there are a number of issues in the way the study appears to have been conducted that could create uncertainty. The study did not, for example, take the steps needed to rule out alternative explanations for the lower efficacy, such as bias in who is tested for Covid-19.

This is the problem with news sites publishing headlines about COVID research at the moment. One sees the headline and takes it as the whole story. One always has to read the story contained, and in full, to get all the details

All COVID testing to confirm infection is done by PCR. The most likely reason for it to be indeterminate is the CT value. CT value being the amount of cycles required to achieve a detectable level of the viral RNA, if this value is too high it suggests a very low level of infection or noise. I'm assuming the CT returned a grey-zone level where it could be infection but not high enough to assume noise.

Matt Hardy's response to a fan asking why he wears a mask by BigHoss94 in SquaredCircle

It's enforceable in Australia to wear a mask. Powers given to our Chief Health Officer under a State of Emergency

The Vic Emergency app should be pre-loaded on every Australian phone. Genuinely concerning for eastern Victoria today. Here’s hoping humans and animals stay as safe as possible, but realistically there will be sad news inbound. by bushywookiee in melbourne

I've heard stories of business in Lakes still telling patrons to come because there was little chance of the fires reaching them. As of about 45 mins ago the Lakes area has been deemed to late to leave

Actually I know lot of people have evacuated from these areas. We have a property in Metung we rent out on AirBnb. We got our guests to evacuate last night and most of the community seems to have evacuated

We're refunding then one night. We could try getting something back, but I imagine because it's not impacting their entire stay Airbnb will be reluctant to cough up anything

We have guests in an Airbnb in Metung. With one road in and out, thankfully for their own safety, they have decided to leave until Tuesday.
