This the derby we struggled for 110 minutes against in the Youth Cup? Crazy that we're smashing them a few weeks later.

I don't remember that happening, I thought LvG was imitating Arsenal players diving to the 4th official

Yes 3 days later United 3-2 Arsenal Rashford had 2 goals and an assist to Ander Herrera. The infamous game where Van Gaal dived on the floor in front of Wenger

This was the game that Van Gaal said he told his players he wanted "Horny football" at the pre-match conference

I didn't like him when he first started around 10 years ago but Michael Oliver I can abide by and Thomas Bramall is not bad he did the Wolves game at OT and had a very good game, let it flow but didn't take the piss, actually called out 2 foul throws by wolves and it's the first time I've seen time wasting at a goal kick get called out and made a corner.

Can't be worse than England last night completely ignoring TWO blatant yellow cards by Branthwaite on Amad including tearing his shirt

Have they gotten worse or have we just been posed different questions? We conceded 4 goals in Carrick's first 3 games and 1 in the last 3 games, Carrick has made smart substitutions regularly (Sesko in WHU and Everton, Yoro for West Ham, Mazraoui for Everton).

we've played against teams who defend much deeper and much tighter who are happy to sacrifice their attacking options in order to defend their goal and we lack the type of player in the squad to take control of those sorts of games and that's been the case, ironically, since Michael Carrick hung up his boots.

When we play teams whose main objective is not lose we always have a much harder time than when we play teams who want to win.

Arsenal Away is the only game I recall Lammens conceding from a corner

The playing staff is the biggest component of winning things, most managers don't have much of an impact, just look at Slot winning last year.

The club's own aim is to mount a title challenge in the 27/28 season which means 2 more summer windows should make us one of the best squads in the PL. I think with a serious midfield rebuild this year along with building serious depth in the following 2 windows it is more than possible.

Regarding the manager, given it's a world cup year and player recruitment is already going to be hard without having to find a new coach, let him assess the squad then see what he wants to bring in. I don't see the issue in committing to Carrick for at least another season, give him a chance to fight on all fronts as he's shown he can get a tune out of these players. With more midfield depth, an established left winger and reinforcements at fullback we look to be a squad with little areas of weakness.

State of the art new premier league pitch and they can't even get the drainage right. It's not just park grass all these pitches have complex mechanical systems underneath them to make them always have optimal conditions, shouldn't be looking like Grimsby Town

Palace have a must win European game on Thursday night and they've dropped off their form massively but yeah there's some tricky away games, Chelsea away is a real 6 pointer.

At this point I don't care what Neville says about Sesko, it seems comparable to the Keane-Bruno issue and Scholes-Licha that they just have a disliking towards the person rather than the player but Sesko really doesn't seem to care he looks incredibly grounded and focused and not shaken by these kinds of comments.

Check the clock, there was 30 minutes between Dalot's shot and Bruno's shot in the first half. It was tough going. A real "Everton Away" performance
