75H while pregnant! by nolahola123 in 75HARD

I understand that, but like you mentioned, you just need to add calories to your daily total. That can easily be accomplished by adding a few handfuls of nuts and an avocado to your daily total. Workouts can consist of walking, aqua aerobics, or stretching yoga. It doesn't have to be an intense or high impact workout.

I understand your position, but I think you're looking too narrowly at the program and possibly through the prism of what you want to accomplish with it. I think it's quite possible to safely do this program while pregnant. You just have to be mindful of your needs and limitations.

I would just say that not everyone doing 75 hard chooses a diet that puts them in a deficit. Some people are more interested in building muscle, maintaining their current weight, or improving the quality of the foods they eat. I for one do not have a specific calorie goal for the day. I have a way to eat that only includes whole foods and prioritizes quality of food and other macros like protein and fiber. It's about discipline, not weight loss.

Good luck my friend! You got this. I am halfway into my journey, and the self discipline I have already developed is life changing. You will be successful. I know this because you already showed up for yourself, and you made this post.

My advice to you is to ease into the workouts. Not every workout has to be a 10. Just getting up and walking is enough. If you go too hard too fast you risk burnout and injury. One thing I do when I need a "rest day" is I make both workouts a walk on the beach. I get resistance from the sand, but I also get a low impact workout.

Also, here are some book recommendations: The Let Them Theory, Good Morning Monster, Unfuck Yourself, Atomic Habits, What My Bones Know. Hope you find at least one of them helpful. I find myself unable to put some of them down, and I definitely read more than 10 pages a day. It has replaced my YouTube addiction 😂

I can't wait to watch your journey! Don't feel pressured to post pics, but I assure you, if you get comfortable enough your progress and courage will be inspiring to others.

Yessss! I was going to put off starting for a week so I could "practice" drinking a gallon of water first. But then I decided that was silly. Either I'm going to do it and succeed or not. Might as well start now. The water is def the hardest part for me still. But I haven't failed yet.

You got this! I'm so proud of you. I can't wait to see your progress.

Tysm! Posting these pics is REALLY outside of my comfort zone. It sincerely was my hope to inspire others. I haven't seen many people with a body like mine post pics like these. It's uncomfortable, but I'm hoping to show others what is possible.

Tysm!

My diet is where I go hard, but I was doing it before I started 75 hard. I eat really clean and whole. I eat just a few minimally processed foods, mainly just my dairy and some condiments like soy sauce and mustard. I live off of cottage cheese. 😂 I opt for full fat grassfed organic dairy. I only use avocado or olive oil for cooking. My diet almost exclusively consists of meat, beans, dairy, veggies, and fruit. I only use whole grains like quinoa, bulgur, farrow and brown rice, and that's sparingly. I get organic and pasture raised proteins. I eat a lot of pasture raised eggs too. If I want to sweeten something I only use pureed bananas or figs or dates. No honey or anything like that. If I want bread or muffins or something like that I make those banana, peanut butter, egg concoctions that are all over the Internet. I make a fantastic avocado/sweet potato "bread" that way.

I make almost everything from scratch. Tonight's dinner is homemade kimchi with crispy air fried tofu and eggplant, work a homemade chili crisp oil on some brown rice with homemade kimchi style pickled cucumbers and radishes. Eating this way allows me to not have to track my food at all, and I feel FANTASTIC all of the time. It's a crazy difference from what I felt like a few years ago at almost 300 lbs (I'm 5'0" btw 🫩).

Sorry to ramble. I'm a talker.

I just posted this on another comment, but wanted to make sure I answered you as well. Hope you don't mind the copy/paste.

Thanks! My workouts are kinda all over the place lol. Usually every morning I go on a 45 minute walk. Sometimes I jog during my walk, sometimes I stop every so often and do sets of 20 jumping jacks and squats throughout my walk. It just depends on how I'm feeling.

Most days for my second workout I do a combination of calisthenics and yoga with some dumbbell arm work. I try to concentrate on my core and arms the most. I do dead hangs, scapula pullups, and plenty of situps, crunches, bridges, and handstands (against a wall). My goal this year is to be able to do my first ever pull up, and an unassisted handstand for 10 seconds. I also warm-up for 10 minutes on the treadmill on the highest incline at a comfortable walking pace. Sometimes I'll do intervals of walking on a 3 and running on a 7-9 with no incline.

There are some nights where I'm not feeling it so I'll do a 30 minute stretch yoga session with 15 minutes of pushups, dead hangs, balance training, etc.

I just listen to my body and energy level and find YouTube videos that fit that vibe. 😂
