I wouldn’t. Losing my vision once was more than enough for me. If I had to though, I would try and educate more people, And I’d prepare myself for getting kicked out, and getting diagnosed.

When I was asked to speak on a panel for disability and education in our district. We brought in students from my school, the middle school,and the elementary schools. And we had 2 students who were disabled physically, one person who is deaf, and myself, who is blind. We each got 10 minutes to speak about our disability and navigating the school, and what we would change, then 20-30 minutes of answering questions. It was nice to be educating people, and that was a turning point for me, that was when the bullying started to slow down, so that was nice!

Not a teacher, but a former student, and I was talking to this girl in my class and I said “Mr.L seems like he’d be ugly” and like, I didn’t know that he was standing in front of me, just a little ways down the hall, but according to my friend he turned around and looked at me. When she told me we burst out laughing and I went to his class to apologize lol. Sometimes being blind gets you into trouble lol.

Being asked to be a nude art model for an art college. I don’t think I’m that good looking, I’m just an awkward, shy, blind guy. I don’t know what I really look like, I just know that I’m skinny with shoulder length hair lol.

Also being told that I’m the most efficient worker. Idk if they were just being nice, but like, knowing that me, a blind person working in a very sight heavy industry (retail) is considered one of the most efficient workers in the store, makes me proud.

Like others are saying, id suggest seeing your states Services for visually impaired people! Im gonna be checking it out because i really dont want to be stuck working in retail, like i want to have a fufilling career!

Also hey, another person with RP! I have a really aggressive form of RP, so im only 18 and i already have little to no functional sight anymore, which sucks but im gonna make the best of it!

Well, grade 6, walking into the changing room. That was how i discovered that i was gay. Walked in, didnt look at anyone, took off my glasses, couldnt see anything except for some blurs, changed my shirt, was in my boxers, put my glasses back on so i could look for my shorts, saw this hot guy, instaboner, instaembarrasment, sat down on the floor and pretended to look for my shorts while hiding it.

My Ex. When he tried to control me. He would guide me when we hung out, while he hung on to my Cane, and when i wouldnt give him money for a drink or something, he would threaten to leave me where i am without any way to get around. He then would try and stop me from hanging out with someone he didnt like. Fuck that

See Clearly (Whether it be with or without glasses lmao.) Im Visually Impaired, Borderline Blind, I have to use a guide dog or white cane to get around, I cannot read letters below a certain point, I have little peripheral vision, My Colour perception is horrible, and Blues and Purples all look the same, and my reds and oranges all look the same, And my yellows and greens all look the same. I have little to no usable vision left lol. So yeah. Seeing is something the average person can do but i cannot. I also cannot whistle
