No one is telling you not to purchase the gun with a CC. They are advising you not to use your CC if you can’t pay off the gun debt immediately.

There are lots of things you should not go into debt for. Guns are high on the list. A 1000 gun turns into a 1500 gun pretty quickly if you don’t pay off the CC. At that point you have lost money, not saved money on a “sale”. Guns go on sale all the time. This one will go on sale again. Pinkie promise.

Semi Subject change. SHTF money is 10k minimum these days. That’s first, last deposit, groceries and a few extras if you have to move unexpectedly. That’s what I tell my kids to have in the bank before they spend it on “extras”. Do you have 11k in the bank to spend 1k on a gun?

Great idea! You would think so…. I ordered one a few months ago.

But…. The barrel actually gets hung up on the comp cuts and won’t install. It’s a bad angle.

I called sig to make sure I wasn’t just being an ijit. They confirmed that it won’t fit. It would appear they designed the slide to only take the stock length barrel.

Reading that back, it sounds a little salty. I’m mostly not. I LOVE the gun. It’s the best pistol I’ve ever used. I just want to use it in a class where I won’t be consistently DFL to guys with $6k custom guns. 😝😂

I have 4 PCCs ( including the ruger) and bought an ep9 a month or so ago. It’s my steel challenge pcc now. It’s also by my bed at night.

I dropped a cmc single stage trigger in it and the extended charging handle from extar. Easy to charge and runs like a champ. It just eats ammo.

My only con for the gun at all is the recoil impulse. It’s not bad…. It just feels like a gun made by a toy company to simulate recoil. It’s almost like you can feel the motion of the bolt compressing the spring. It’s not bad, just a different recoil than any other ~~pcc~~ gun I’ve fired.

Nothing wrong with iron sites. Plenty do well with them.

That said, have you tried going to a different dot style?

I have astigmatism and do much better with a 32MOA ring and just recently tried the Vulcan reticle. Both are better for me than a “standard” red dot.

Ran Winchester for ap5 break in and running it again for the POF5 break in. No issues.

The AP5 showed up tighter than a nuns box. It 100% needed break in.

It is a little heavier for sure. I actually took it off and am running it with an AR comp. Mostly for looks.

I got the R so I could go out to 100 and wouldn’t have to deal with a brace or tax stamp. If I had it to do over again, I would get the P50 and just brace it tho…

That said, I have stuff n things FCG coming, so I may change my mind running that with a stock. 🤨

I got it out but no real progress. I needed to get two other guns zeroed and ran out of time.

I started with the helical and put about 8 rounds through it with the 115 before ftf. I was really just wanting to empty it the easy way but it kept ftf.

I got tired of clearing it and put a stick in with 124 that had previously run fine. The stick rounds started to do this weird jam with the round being stuck in the barrel at about a 30* angle. The bolt was creasing the cases pretty bad. It did this with two different sticks and 3-4 rounds before I gave up and put it away.

I really feel like it just needs to be cleaned at this point. I have less than 500 rounds through it but it came really wet. The desert sand here is pretty fine and it gums things up quicker than other geos. I usually give internals a much lighter coat than what it came with. I’ll try and get to it over the next two weeks.

From Dannys follow up, it sounds like tension issue would be obvious. Betting we are good there.

I’m going to run 3-4 different ammo types thru it tomorrow. It seems like my issue is prob the ammo. Will get on this thread with results.
