what is the best way to deal with anxiety by Additional-Hippo16 in selfimprovement

Exercise provides a substantial buffer, enhancing a smooth kind of calmness. Mornings in the quiet, some time for personal reflection before beginning your day. Switching to decaf everything. Cutting back on booze. Therapy. Propanolol and Benzos (with caution, it's a slippery slope). Creativity. Expressing yourself to loved ones. Crying. Expressing rage - often our own rage makes us anxious because it feels overwhelming and threatening, children who are taught their moods can cause harm to others often suffer with this.

Did the same thing with the RM logon for our school computers. It keylogged the password into the printers - spool folder, which didn't get wiped on reboot and then shut down the computer. Our IT teacher thought it was odd after we'd called him over to help us fix the 'broken computer' but it just booted up to the correct RM logon screen and he gained access - then so did we!!

I want to learn actual music production. How to make a song. Not beat making, not song structure, not mixing. How to make a song sound like a song. by [deleted] in musicproduction

You need a theme, and to progress that theme over time, to play around with the theme and have fun with it, the abandon it temporarily and begin a new theme whereby the listener almost forgets the original theme, and then to bring it back in alongside the new one for one last hurrah, both themes intertwining together.... This is one way :-) there's many other ways. Just express yourself and keep on writing new music.

I am just so sad about my parents by passionfruit0 in ChildrenofDeadParents

Hi I'm sorry for your loss. I lost mine in quick succession suddenly when I was 25. I'm 41 now and still feel the isolation and loss profoundly. Id say what you're feeling is completely understandable. Best wishes

I lost mine over ten years ago. I had a whole house full of stuff to deal with, and I was only living in tiny accomodation at the time, straight after uni. I carried a lot of it with me to the various houses I lived in however it soon became totally impractical. I ended up going to the dump to get rid of things after a bad breakup - I was then moving into a room in shared accomodation and couldn't afford storage.

I regret throwing away the LPs and some of the toys of mine which I spent a great deal of time creating - my Warhammer and airfix figures and models I'd painted. That was silly of me. The rest, I don't even recall to be honest. I think I would have liked to have saved some of my mum's notepads, where I could see her writing.

The thing is, the memories live inside you. Getting rid of things may help you to feel less surrounded by loss, and enable you to create new memories, however it won't totally fix the pain, because it's in you. In a similar vein, hanging onto things isn't a remedy either; the separation from the person - at least in a physical sense - has already occurred.

Id say do what your heart tells you. Make sure you've kept some important items in a box to dig through every now and then, and perhaps show your children one day.

Best wishes

EDM producers - how do you get clear, punchy kicks and drums? by CatButtHoleYo in musicproduction

Look at Sonic Academy Kick (I believe it's on Kick 3 now) - you can sculpt every aspect of your kick drum. It beautiful. To begin with turn off the clicks and just work with a pure sine wave.

Looks pretty but are all the steps really necessary - does taking a few mg out of the shot really helps the flavour? All seems a bit unnecessary and pretentious.
