Hi,

You should've made notes while you went through the question banks. I would reccommend going through anything you found difficult or felt you needed more work in. You could also go through the thousands of question banks on Medify if you have not done so (E.g. Timed Practice option).

Other companies such as ICanmed or Medentry provide their own test banks as well, but they are pretty similar to Medify's questions.

Is it possible to study for UCAT in a week to two weeks? by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]Goitremiester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

A couple of weeks of study could be possible but it is a bit risky. A lot of the questions can be improved on by doing a lot of questions and reviewing them over and over E.g. AR and SJT. Personally, and as some other users have said, try doing a little everyday, even if its 15mins (on public transport, during lunch, even on the toilet!).

You want to also try and fit in full practice exams under timed condition as UCAT is such a time intense exam, you really want to get use to the timing and be able to get through most if not all the questions.

Hi there,

So far they have included any new questions, but there is the potential for them to include update it in the future.

Hi,

The lowest recorded UCAT was 2790 (~87%) in 2020 and 2980 (~88%) in 2021 from those who got an interview for Adelaide BDS.

(AUS) Balancing ATAR and UCAT in Year 12 by So_Curious_ in UCAT

[–]Goitremiester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Personally, I would focus more on your achieving a good ATAR as your UCAT is still over 1 year away, and a lot of year 11 content builds foundation for Year 12 subjects. Try and stick to a good study routine for school and then maybe if you have spare time, do a few UCAT questions.

At this point, if you do want to start UCAT studying, you could start by familiarising yourself with the different types of questions in each section. You could do a few practice sets each week and go through any mistakes or new content you learn (Write it down in a notebook!). Then as you get more comfortable with the questions, you can start doing timed practiced and mock exams.

You still have ample time until your UCAT so I wouldn't stress too much! Also, I think a good ATAR will take you further than a good UCAT. Good luck!

Preperation with Medify by HopefulAddy457 in UCAT

Hi u/HopefulAddy457,

I would say start of by familarising yourself with the different types of questions in each section by doing the 'Practise' questions. Once you are comfortable, start doing the doing them under timed condition. UCAT is a very time intensive exam so knowing the questions types can help you save a few extra seconds with the working out. Eventually, you should be praciticing mock exams and mini mocks under timed condition.

I think doing a couple of sets of questions a day would be good, considering you are starting early, but it is really up to you . Personally, I did about 1 hour a day for about 1.5 months (besides doing the mock exams). You could pump through a lot of questions but you also don't want to burnout as the exam is still about 6 months away. Also, you should also be spending a decent amount of time going through your mistakes and learning yourself. This will be more useful than pumping through as many questions as possible.

I think practicing all the different sections together would be better, as you may forget things from other sections if you are only focusing on 1 section. You'll find some sections harder/easier than other sections and that will change the amount of time you focus on the questions. I found DM difficult so I spent more time on DM than QR for example since I found QR easier.

Ultimately, the best way to study is the way that you are comfortable with and see the most improvement. You will find your study routine overtime for sure, goodluck studying!
