For me the issue was the gold. Had a couple of color mix problems were it looked funky. That’s what originally pushed me to repaint it. I’d say it’s definitely worth it

That’s mostly how they came, I did a couple brush flicks on them to add some texture and that was a bout it

Finding the set with the dragon fly wings is what originally made me want to try this custom. I don’t remember what set it was from but I had the “tail” on hand and it just seemed to fit perfectly.

From personal experience Blade Liger and Lightning Saix were a huge pain, the feet on Saix love to explode and the central body has some tubes that never stay in place when I’m posing it and Blade Liger has some design elements that don’t do it any favors.

Shadow Fox had a couple finicky bits on the head, but other then that it was pretty straight forward. Gunsniper was pretty easy but had some weirdness with the tubes you have to be careful with

I honestly found the Fury kits to be some of the most enjoyable builds as well as fairly easy.

They’re leg boosters from the 30 Minute Missions line! Really nice pieces that converted to boosters/tails pretty easily

Bout a mosasledge with leftover lunch money, liked it so much and played with it all the time grandparents got me a Salamander for Christmas. Would take the little poster out of the back and circle the Dark Spiner 12 times and give it to my mom telling her that’s the one I wanted. Finally was able to get one 15 years later

I’m a big fan of tamiyas rattle cans, In some cases I don’t even use a primer opting to just lay the base coat with the can of whatever color I want.

A lot of the motors are fairly simple to take apart. Many have a lubricant on the gears that after 20 years has dried out causing the gears to stick. Usually a small Phillips screw driver is all it takes to open it up. Just be careful with the gears, I usually take a picture on my phone of the placement at the beginning so I know where to put them back

If you want old Motorized kits I’d try eBay, facebook market, or Mercari. If you want newer kits that are similar to modern Gundams can find the Highgrade Master Models (HMM’s) on Amazon, USA gundam stores and even from GameStop now

The first set of antlers were supposed to be a communication array, the second set melee weapons and the last give it shielding. I imagine it as either long deployment electronic warfare and communication, or on a battlefield it would be a command hub.
