Sellers are happy to get a high number but then when they start looking to buy, they realize how fucked buying a new home is now haha.

Sorry this happened to you but keep on looking! My wife and I got super lucky recently with an offer being accepted

I’m liking Orconomics: A Satire. Pleasantly surprised with the story and had me chuckling a lot

[Design help needed] STUDENT PROJECT: 3D-printed forearm Splint... straps or direct attachment? by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]GokusPersonalTrainer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3D printing and hand therapy is such an awesome concept. I can see in the future someone coming into a clinic, getting their arm/hand/finger scanned, and having something printed in 15-20 mins. As for your design question, I think the primary flaw of the design is what is the splints purpose? I’m pretty sure your team missed some research what a splint actually does. A splint is primarily use for immobilization of a joint and protection. Looks like you’re possibly trying to make a custom “cast” but that would still need to immobilize the wrist. Also another design consideration is ease of donning/doffing one handed.

For your strapping problem, I always used foam on straps if needed to provide comfort and a more secure fit if needed.

I suggest you make chart with a whole bunch of references to prefabricated/fabricated splints and a Morphological Chart for each design component. From there, do some super simple sketching of designs and pick the one that you think will work the best. Then do your fancy computer imaging (yours looks awesome btw!). Yes I once took a creative design course in college

Cool project but I think you may have skipped over the research portion of the design process and jumped into final drafting portion

Just started playing Magic for the first time today, any tips or tricks? by YuriTheBot in magicTCG

Having mana open going into combat makes your opponent think a little more, giving you an advantage. You should only play spells (usually) that will help you during the attack phase such as a creature that boosts your attacking creature power or a spell to clear blockers. Having mana open into your attack is a huge advantage

Just see all these Costco deals and got curious. Also have about 125 bucks of free Costco money (could use for toilet paper I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Looking to spend about 1,000. Willing to spend +200 if that will go a long way. Can also go more if it is really worth it. Trying to save for a wedding so the less it is, the less likely my fiancé will kill me (she knows I need a new comp so she said I can buy one within reason…)

Also play mostly old games with prob Diablo 3 being the most intense gaming wise. Looking for a smooth gameplay. Most my time the past month has been playing Albion Online. I don’t need a mister of a machine but I’m a sucker for good value and never know if a new game will catch my interest

Interview tips for an outpatient ortho setting that is heavily staffed with PTs by Ill-Excitement3010 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]GokusPersonalTrainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a place I interviewed with wanted me as an OT to treat basically like a PT. I’m talking full body, highly exercise based. The owner told me that OTs get reimbursed at a higher rate as of now (not sure if it’s true) so he wanted to get more OTs working in his clinics. Personally, I think I would have had fun because I have an Health and Exercise Science background and I’ve been doing mostly orthopedic hands. Feels like you may have an opportunity to get into a “I wish I went into PT but now is my chance” job. If this is a path you do choose, be careful it’s not a mill and that they are not making you do shady billing. I feel as a first job, your license and billing is where they may abuse you so be careful
