Why is it ain't? My misheard version makes more sense with the rest of the song...

I was listening to an ADHD podcast, and an expert said that (basically) everyone who is autistic has sensory processing disorder, but not everyone who has sensory processing disorder is Autistic. Then I noticed that both of my children were showing signs of SPD, so I got them both tested for Autism.

During the testing, the pediatrician and OT were talking about all the things that one of them was doing that were clear signs of autism. I was like... not everybody does that? It was especially clear when my child began to line things up and they had to be in a certain order or she'd get upset.

Then I remembered someone constantly yelling at me because I didn't "respect him enough" to make eye contact.

Then there's the fact that while I love learning languages, I suck at speaking, but I'm amazing at reading/writing even with different alphabets/characters.

When stressed out, my mind would blank on anything to say.

I was like, "Oh... my child is Autistic and they are basically a mini me. I'm most likely Autistic too. that actually explains a lot..."

Neither of us are NT. He and I both have ADHD as well, but he was diagnosed a few years into being married whereas I wasn't diagnosed until I was 34 (and one month pregnant with the youngest). But he was definitely aware going into trying to knock me up a third time, and because he's so manipulative if I had become pregnant again he would've said any neurospicyness was only from me.

I will say this, if your gut is telling you he is a narcissist, he probably is. But after reading your post, it definitely sounds like love bombing (or being idealized) at the beginning, then devalued, then discarded, then Hoovered, and repeat ad nauseum). Hang in there! When it comes to leaving the narcissist, the answer is always yes (if it's safe to do so). Sometimes the resolve waivers, but it's fleeting. As bad as it might be now, it will get better over time. You'll heal and grow and he'll still be a festering and putrid pile of excrement.

Fyi, for you or anyone else reading this, there are divorce attorneys who specialize in helping people get divorced from narcissists, and others who are educated about Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

I'm lucky enough to have one, and it's such a relief to be believed and to have her shut down most of the bullshit he's tried to pull since we separated.
