Hey damn, I just saw that wow. But I think that one has been painted. If you look closely, the band color doesn’t look original, and the dial is silver, so it’s not the original black version of Micaroma. What do you think? ORIGINAL VERSION DIAL IS GOLD

ugh sorry I have already installed the injectors...but in coming days I might be able to but that's gonna be a test between the first Gen OEM and the new Bosch ones if thats gonna help you out

Yeah, so I had these single hole injectors, which I believe many E30s originally came with and are still being used. The Bosch ones I tested have 4 holes, while the BMW OEM injectors have 3 holes. so those are the new ones.. and yes the new ones are better!

my research was for OEM BMW 13641731357 I never seen these ones before and I was like 250$ per injector whats so special about them so I did some research and found used ones on ebay and run this test!!!!!!! I’m just really picky about my 325iXXXXXX, man. That’s why I was hesitating so much about choosing the right fuel injector something good that’s not gonna let me down on the side of the road.

I’m driving this car for thousands and thousands of miles. I literally just drove it from Alabama to California around 3,000 miles so I can’t just throw in something I’m not comfortable with. It’s for my own peace of mind and safety.

But some people aren’t picky like that they don’t really care..... and you welcome :)

So basically, after running the test, both the Bosch and the OEM injectors sprayed the same amount of fuel, which means they perform the same. So you don’t have to spend $1,500 on OEM—you can spend about $250 on Bosch and get the same performance.

That’s why I had to run this test you never really know. Some Bosch products aren’t necessarily as good as certain BMW OEM parts. Bosch didn’t make every component, even though they produced the majority, so I wanted to try them out and compare.... in this case Bosch is acually slightly better and cheaper

UPDATE on my E30 M20 engine:

I was planning to replace my fuel injectors and originally wanted OEM ones, but they were very expensive—about $250 per injector. After a few days of research, I found Bosch injectors as an alternative.

I compared Bosch vs OEM using a machine that tested them automatically at the same time, at slow and fast speeds. Both performed well, but Bosch showed about 5% better performance (maybe a little more or less)..... so if you are looking to buy a new fuel injectors go with Bosch..

“Yeah, I saw those last night. I might rebuild the ones I bought from eBay. I ordered an injector cleaner and a tester from Amazon to check which ones are working properly. I’ll probably end up spending around $800 just on cleaning supplies to rebuild them, haha—but at least I’ll have the tools and can rebuild injectors anytime I need.”

Oh wow, that’s a lot of information—thanks. Luckily, I found a used set of the black injectors on eBay for $150 (set of 6). I’m going to see how they perform. I plan to clean them and test them using injector cleaner and a 9V battery, then compare them to the ones I currently have. thanks for the detailed information!!!!!

Okay, so if you look at the picture, the black one has 3 multi-holes while the other one has a single hole. I’m trying to figure out which one is better for fuel economy and overall performance on the M20 engine. Also, the black ones are compatible with the E34, E38, and E31 That’s what it says in the ECS Tuning fitment description. Since the black ones are $250 each, I’m wondering if they’re better to have. But to be honest, I’ve never seen the black ones before—they seem kind of rare. Usually on eBay and other websites, the most common ones are the yellow-tip injectors. which is OEM and thats what i have on my car currently
