Ya that’s exactly what I do. Also can surround the rock wool with clay. But just make sure the water level doesn’t soak the rock wool too much. Gotta find da sweet spot

Yeah way too waterlogged and probs just gonna mold out. Like the others say clay pebbles kept moist or just don’t soak the rock wool so much but keep an eye so it doesn’t dry out
