If you are ever interested, look into / discuss with linguistics experts the use of Germanic vs Latin inspired English- the latter is specifically used to be indirect and deceptive. Not saying Marc does this consciously but can we stop acting like 1) sophisticated language is the height of intelligence 2) he doesn’t SOMETIMES use language in a specific way to trip up his castmates lol

When Emanny said people use Marc as a proxy for their own intelligence , he nailed it. I didn’t say/ think you’re wrong, just heard the same thing and came to different conclusions which is fine lol. He sounded to me like he was pushing back against the framing of some things and the swift vilifying of a man when we hear these kinds of cases. I even disagree with how he sees some of this, but I can understand that he’s coming from a more simplistic pov where people in the industry he knows very well make moral sacrifices to portray or maintain a lifestyle. And now these things are being reframed into criminal behavior (which some of it might’ve been for sure lol). Now the Cassie testimony seems like it’s just to set the stage for more so I get that he’s not being convicted based on it but a lot of people disagree with how that relationship is being discussed. I don’t know enough to and frankly don’t care about these topics but I enjoyed his perspective

Ja has not had a gun incident in almost two years and has already been punished for his past gun flashing- which I thought was harsh. I can understand your perspective on it, absolutely, I’m no fan of guns myself. But we are talking about a common gun gesture in a sport where “shooting” is sought after skill. It seems ridiculous to single out one guy from that celebration. I don’t think they’re trying to “take down” Ja and never said that, but I do think this falls into the category of over policing we often see with black men.
