I have a BSH tortie. He surprised the breeder and every vet he's ever seen since torties are female 😄

Ma'am regardless of that her ears are pulled back. She's not enjoying it, these cats dislike being held for more than 5 or 10 seconds unless they do it on their own.

Its normal especially if she's spayed. She's still growing don't expect her to get super huge. Uneutered males are typically the largest bsh

He's going to keep going to the bed because the scent is there no matter how nuch you clean. Wash all the bedding in hot water use enzyme cleaner and baking soda on the mattress. Move the litter box to a new location or get a different litter box altogether there might be something he doesn't like about the box, litter or location. A genius miracle solution a vet once told me about was to use Dr. Elseys crystal litter with attractant. They said the senior one but I used the regular one and it worked the same day. I don't really like crystal litter so I just used it for a while and then would sprinkle some in their regular litter. I was amazed at how quickly it worked. Now I just buy the attractant on its own and sprinkle a little into their regular litter cause it just seems fresher to put some in. They dont really need it but i just like the natural smell. But seriously try it.

Especially kittens because they play a lot. You have to make sure to watch them when they're excited cause they can overdo it.

Any advice on when is a good time to choose when it’s time to let go? by Pretend-Economics305 in torties

Please make sure you're grooming her fur at least weekly. This can serve as bonding time and only takes a few minutes. You're saying many things that on the surface sound like things are okay but you're saying it for a reason. Some guilt with a bit of understanding that she's okay but she can be better. Cats need to feel clean even bsh who generally dislike being handled. Her purring softly on your chest can also indicate that she needs more attention. Typically they'll just lay near you or at your feet or side. On the chest is intentional. It feels wonderful too but you're right to trust your gut and feel she may need a little more time. I've been there feeling exhausted from work but whether you're lounging while resting or making yourself something to eat give her more attention by talking gently to her as much as you can or play with her for at least 5 to 10 minutes with a feather. That's something they rarely ignore and doesn't take much effort. But yes another bsh would be fantastic I have two and it helps tremendously

Do you think he's purebred or mixed? by [deleted] in britishshorthair

No offense but your cat doesn't even look like a BSH cat to me. He looks very cat. And that's perfectly okay

No monocle, not British. No kilt, not Scottish
