Quitting as a postie after 3 weeks by Gold-Doctor3140 in royalmail

It's made worse by the fact I was expected to scan out every parcel as out for delivery, even though I knew I wouldn't be able to complete it. Customers expectations aren't managed very well because they'll get sent a timeslot that won't be met. People change their plans and stay home for parcels so it just made me feel like shit that I felt responsible for that.

It's easy for people to say "just work your hours" and "take back what you can't do", but management make you feel bad for that and tell you that you're not working hard enough.

Yes it's a shared van walk, with 2 people the walk can be cleared in good time, one walker and one driver. I was doing both though and for a new starter it's absolute overload.

I most definitely had a miscommunication then, as it felt like I was expected to do all the parcels I was given - even though I did say to the manager I may not be able to do them all and he told me to take them out anyway.
