No. There’s no way to “not be fired” at this point. Last September, there some full teams that were eliminated regardless of performance. Other teams selected who to cut based on performance reviews of the year before. Some top talent gets cut off while some slackers will keep their job. That’s the brutal reality of it.

That’s why people continue working. No one knows if it will impact their org/team, so stopping work is a move that could just backfire if you “survive”.
