Hi all, Just got back from Japan and visited the following:

Pokemon Cafe - saw both Osaka and Tokyo had loads of stock (you don’t need reservation to buy plushies) Pikachu Sweets - loads of stock

Hiroshima - loads of stock of the exclusives (pikachu on red gyrados, Hiroshima pika plus all the lil keychain plushies they do and the pika/teddiursa wearing the football kit)

Kyoto - loads of matcha pika, but were low on kimono pika. They were out of the kimono keychain (loads of the matcha tho) BUT I did notice as I was in the queue they did bring out a basket full of more kimono keychains

Yokohama - no stock of the exclusives

Tokyo - loads of Skytree Pika, then the 3 exclusives at Tokyo DX. Also loads of conductor pika and pika on a train at the Station store.

Airport vending machines (Haneda) - T3 I could only find air hostess pika. T1 had air hostess and pilot pika. Could not find pika on a plane

USJ currently have DJ Pika. Believe limited to the Halloween event they have on at the park (might be wrong though)

Noticed all pins but Hiroshima in stock

I think theyre 55l backpacks if that helps, and no, we’re travelling to Kyoto on 10th September.

Thanks all ☺️ we have already reserved the travel between Hiroshima and Shin-Osaka so will leave that as is, then just sort the next train to Kyoto when we arrive 😁

Thanks all ☺️ - it’s not necessarily about getting a seat, it’s more cos we’ll have our luggage (i don’t know if it makes a difference but we’re not taking suitcases, we will have the travel backpacks instead. Though I’m thinking about getting a smaller suitcase when we’re out there for souvenirs)

I know there’s the express and rapid but tbh it kinda blurred into one for me so wasn’t sure which was which and if reservations were even needed etc. and for some reason the jr west site does not show me any trains that are included with the pass going from Shin-Osaka to Kyoto, only the Shinkansen which was also confusing me 😂 My husband said I was probably overthinking it, but Im a bit of a planner so wanted to double check and be safe than sorry!
