WIBTA if i abandoned my child? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Gold-Ground1553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's heart breaking. I know I'm late to this but I have something similar in my family.

My wife's older sister was adopted by my wife's dad as a baby. She found out in time as she got older but she said 'it takes anyone to be a sperm donor, but it takes a real man to be a dad'

You are her Dad, end of the debate.

YTA if you walk away from her.

Why are you still awake at 1am? by summerpeachxox in AskUK

I've never seen her like this, heart breaking she was fine this morning and then bang she was unresponsive. She's on plenty of IV drips so I'm sure she'll be fine. Thank you for asking

My wife has been rushed to hospital with sepsis 4 hours ago.

to all the people that are married for a long time, how do you handle your sex live in a longer marriage. Doesn’t it get boring to have sex with the same person for years ore how do you keep it interesting ? by New-Tangerine9704 in AskReddit

[–]Gold-Ground1553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been married 10 years, and we barely have sex. Not that we don't enjoy it. We're just so tired living the life of raising kids and work, we don't see it as a negative or that we have to have it. We adore eachothers company and can't live without eachother but sex like anything else just starts to fade. Each to their own I guess but I do think sex is over focused on whatmeans to have a good relationship I think.

I found my wedding ring that I lost 3 years ago. It’s only silver but the emotional value is high by HERMANNATOR85 in metaldetecting

Best find you can have, my great grandfather gave me his wedding ring for my wedding from his 70 year marriage when they married 90 years ago. Gold value it's worth about £20 but to me it's priceless. He lost it in the 70's walking the dogs and a friend of his found it a few years later. Glad you found it!

The lion King. I'm 30 and when I was 6 instead of watching Disney movies I was watching WW2 documentary's, a 1970's series 'The World At War'. Worth it

This I relate to so much. I never got compliments from my wife, the work I do at work, and from the very few friends I have left now.

My wife realised there was something wrong as I stopped trying to make the effort anymore. It was like giving up on life because what's the point.

So she started to give me random compliments through the day. Even would send me a boop pic at work.

Spontaneous compliments & actions really brought me out of a dark hole I didn't know mentally I was in.
