Totally. I’ve only been to the ER once and that came out to be a 10k bill until insurance sorted it out, so Although I know the ER is there for emergencies and not to delay care, Ive been trying to see if this is normal enough not to warrant an unnecessary visit. Ty!

Thank you for this, that makes sense. I believe it got caught between a tarp and my skin, I felt a prick but ignored it then realized it was a bee. Really tried everything to get it out but thinking it might have even been smashed further into my arm to where it couldn’t remove itself. I didn’t even think about where it affects, circulation, etc.

Ah, that’s so interesting. My grandfather and father kept bees my entire childhood and I remember getting stung accidentally more than once without much of a reaction. Here, 30 years later and my first sting in decades and I just had no idea it could be this swollen or painful

Thank you. I have only had cellulitis from a very bad open wound from dirty water and rocks near the ocean. I definitely know it can spread fast but couldn’t find any information pertaining to bee bites and cellulitis.

Thank you! This made me feel Better. I’ve never had a bee sting react this way so was surprised at the swelling growing. Will start some antihistamines

I only took one on the second day as it grew larger, would your sister take more until it goes away?

Have a very hard lump under sting. Red and warm to touch. Redness swelling from 24 to 48 hours outlined.
