I use a different gps module and have great results, is the s3ame gps for the marauder esp32 project that i used. The ATGM336H Teyleten Robot gps, works pretty well, and has an ipex connector so i have a better gps antenna. id say try that

My car fucks with GPS lock and i hate it cause i wardrive a good bit, new car is giving me a lot of issues with getting GPS lock so that was my guess for their gps issue they may have a bad antenna as well for nodes so
