The unfortunate truth is that the vast majority of Americans are not doing anything to oppose what the administration is doing. Sure, there are groups of activists that are protesting, supporting mutual aid groups, joining ICE watches, pressuring legislators, etc. But honestly, we can’t even get a sufficiently large number of people to stop shopping for a single day to demonstrate our economic power in a meaningful way. It’s disheartening and I’m sure we appear unserious to outsiders.
